In the past you advocated for D-Box, this video's recommendation also seems like a good option, with so many new technologies being created all the time, is this now your best recommendation? Good stuff man thanks! I did have a question. I read in a forum that you posted online about possibly changing the steering wheel out to the integy wheel, do you know if you would need to buy the Spektrum wheel adapter sold by integy or if the wheel kit that comes with the wheel would work with it? The kit that comes with the wheel states it will work with futaba, Traxxas,and Hpi wheels.. Is this a clone of the Spektrum radio? Or a clone of the Futaba?

I just pulled off my steering wheel from my KO Propo EX-1 and that wheel is a direct fit with Radiolink, Integy sells some kits with KO compatible hardware

They are identical, only difference is the RC4G comes with a gyro built into the Rx. The newer RC4G radios come with a newer firmware update which prevent them from being compatible with non gyro Rx's. If you want full compatibility with all Rx's, then I would recommend buying the RC3S first, then you'll have the option to buy gyro enabled Rx's later to run them if you wish. Basic Rx's cost $10 and gyro Rx's cost $20.

hei Bill. does 10 model memory means 10 defrend settings/configurations ? I am asking because I have 2 4ch receivers with out giro and when they are both on they both work at the same time in all the model settings. it doesn't matter wich model memory I choose. do you no anything about this?

hi Bill, I'm having a problem with the rc3s and hope you can help. I have an electric truck and the throttle has to be trimmed to B56 (brake to 56) in order for the throttle to be centered. The issue with this is that it prevents the throttle from reaching full power in the forward range. Basically it has cut my top speed in half. please help! thanks

Thanks bill I will try that as well. I have the receiver running length wise with the car instead of horizontal, does that make a difference? The manual left a lot to be desired and I really appreciate your feedback and help

Could you say what is the correct orientation for the gyro in the vehicle? trying to find out if there's a preferred installation mount for the receiver to ensure optimal performance of integrated gyro.

+Pedmar 007, basically flat... you can adjust the orientation for front/rear facing by various button presses of the switch on the side of the Rx, more info in the manual for the specifics on adjusting the gyro.

+Bill DeLong I have an exceed drift king rc that I converted to on road touring car and I have this rc4g setup but I want to make sure that I have the gyro installed in correct position. I currently have it on top of the steering servo with the channel side sitting on the right side of the chassis. I want to know if that's ok or should I turn the Rx for the channels to be facing either to the front of the car or the rear? Not trying to be a bother just wanted to know if it really made any difference on working of gyro.

+Pedmar 007, I don't think it matters, but if the gyro only works in reverse, then you'll need to toggle the button so that it's enabled when going forward.

Hi bill, I just bought the rc4g and my question is when using the gyro, if I hold the car up and turn it to the right should my wheels turn left and vise versa? I was told that if I hold the car in the air and turn the car right the wheels should move right and if I move the car left the wheels should turn left. Either was my car doesn't take off and stay straight no matter how much gain I try. Did I do something wrong? Thank you

+james ritch , the idea is for the gyro to apply counter steer, however if the gain is adjusted too high, then too much counter steer may be applied making the car handle worse, I prefer somewhere around 10% - 15% gain for my preference.

Hey bill, im having a problem with this radio and wondered if you could help. my gyro seems to be reacting backwards as to what it should. when it should counter left it goes right and vice versa. what am i missing.

you need to reprogram the direction by pressing the button on the side of the Rx... I think 2X is the option to reverse the direction, I don't have the manual with me right now, but it explains what each sequence of button presses will do

not sure if there are any aftermarket wheels that will fit, I tried Integy and they didn't work, however the replacement foam grip from Integy did fit nicely.

Bryan Coughlin , I don't see why not, however I'm not so sure that a tracked vehicle will have a tendency to spin out of control will it? Does the tracked vehicle get up to fast speeds and spin out? If so, then yes, I can see a huge benefit for having the gyro.

I just got this the RC4g with a 1/5 Rovan 30.5cc Baja, I bought a kill switch, installed to 3rd channel, switched channel the tx to the switch as I would need to shut off engine.. set it to Tact.. as a momentary switch. and nothing..no reaction from the kill switch..i'm told it's faulty..and i'm told that I should mess with the epa adjustments for channel 3 as they are set to 120 by default.. which I have yet to try, i'm about to try and remove the switch and mail back to seller, and I figured I would comment after searching for some help on you ... any ideas

+ThePonyboy50, have you hooked up a spare servo to Ch3 output to verify you're getting a proper signal? If the servo actuates when the button is pressed, then I agree, the switch is probably faulty.

Hi Bill, nice video. I have rc4g and i really like it. Everything was ok but l notice that giro is not holding my car in straight line anymore. When is inactive everything is normal but when is activated car is acting strange on full throttle. He act like there is some little guy in car an moving reciever :) When i move car, wheels are not going on opposite direction, they go on same direction wich causes car flipping. I readed your review and its great but then i didnt have any problems, maybe i forget that there is solution in your thread. Thanks and sorry for my bad English :)

maybe try to rebind the Rx again? Also dial back the sensitivity to make sure your radio is centered and/or disable the gyro feature just to make sure the problem isn't something else?
