Nice stuff. This is 1 of the best expansion boards available, for ANY synth/sound module. I have an XV5080 & JV1010 & it's installed in the latter. I really love KORG, (I had M1, M1Rex, O1/W & now have Tritniy TR-Rack, Triton Pro X & Kronos X 88) but Roland's Vintage Synth board blows away Korg's Vintage Archives expansion. Alesis's Vintage Synthesizers Q-Card isn't bad, but it's not in the same league as Roland's. The Kronos has left'em ALL in the dust now, but SR-JV04 is still a great board.

Um, wow! I so remember this card for the XP-50. Friend of mine in a band got it for me as a birthday gift; He even installed it for me. Love that one metallic sweeping PG Sweep pair of waveforms; also, the Solina waveforms too.

I remember its going price used to be between $250 and $350, give or take. As per now, not much lower than $100 or $150, especially if this turned out to be a very popular board among Roland XP/JD users.

The Vintage Board has lots of great patches--Jupiter, Lucky Man, etc. The Arp patches are super. My favorites, though, are the CS80 patches--poor person's Yamaha polysynth.

For a keyboard (XP80) i bought new in 1996.... and still use in 2011! This Vintage keys expansion just adds new life to it... i have "session" "orchestral" " Techno" and experience boards fitted at mo.. which when i sell my experience board and replace with this one will be more than i need for my ever reliable xp80 workstation...

Ha! Sector101 had some new programmers available and I pulled the trigger and managed to order one. I hope it materializes this year in my XP-30. Would be nice to finally try those chip images I downloaded. Isn't it possible to read out the chips and burn them into modern flash roms with some form of decoder electronic? Maybe the availability of the socket is a problem? Just found out that Sector101 produces a programming unit and cards that can be used to produce new rom boards or save and backup the original boards! In stock again in Feb. it seems. That would be great, if true and prcticable.

will this work in the Roland Juno Stage? it mentions about srx only! i noticed the srx07 does not have the specific patch called you&luck(and or Lucky man)

Ultimate Keys. SRX-07 is the one to get. It includes all the waveforms from the Vintage Synth board, Keyboards of 60s & 70s and bass & drums.

No, unfortunately the SRX does not contain all sounds from the Vintage board... for instance: look up the patch Tower Silvis. I have both, and still refer back to my Roland XP with the Vintage (04) rather than my Fantom with the SRX, simply because of that. Borderline false advertising by Roland. Having said that, I love them both dearly.

@@claudevieaul1465 The SRX card *does* have all the waveforms, but unfortunately not the patches of the SR-JV80. If you have an XV3080/5050/5080, you can actually use the SRX card and then load the Vintage patches of the original SR-JV80 Vintage card.

Deze kaart is helemaal te gek. Voor diegene die de analoge synthesizers een warm hart toedragen en geen hoge bedragen willen uitgeven om deze te kopen is dit een aanrader ofwel een must have. Ik ben zelf in het bezit van de Roland M-VS1 vintage module waarin dezelfde geluiden te horen zijn. Bovendien heb ik in mijn JV 90 de expansieboard van de keyboards uit de jaren 60/70. Veel Hammond, Fender Rhodes piano,s Moog sounds, Mellotrons en meer.

In the case of a JV/XP series machine, hold down the Shift key on the number pad and tap one of the 4 expansion slot keys 5-8, then let go of both. There's your memories. I should know; For being totally blind since birth, music is one of the few things in life that still makes sense to me; Was borrowing a Roland XP50 when a band member out of a a band I was in snuck behing my bak and played like something was wrong with the keyboard. Jumping Jupiter? He actually bought and installed the card, then got me out to thei house playing like a gigging session. I turn that keyboard on and notice that it took longer for the screen to light up and sound to play; Figured there were some internal things happening... Once the sound activated and screen lit up, I played a few notes and my eyes brimmed like locally heavy rain clouds with teardrops. I asked someone sitting beside me to read the display: Exp A-001: Prologue I went into a full fledged tour of the wave table on this card, found 4 randomly pleasing waveforms to layer into a temporary patch and just started playing random pieces of yester-year to see what nerves I'd trip. When I played my rendition of the old Flexi-Blocks commercial music, I went into complete disbelief. The board actually did justice to the song that no modern musician would dare ever do without disappointing me first. "And that's the way it is."

hola amigo kiero aserte una pregunta telo agraderia amigo tengo el roland fa76 pero no estoy muy feliz con el sonido del piano solo puedo usar nice piano que esta de attachment. tu me puedes desir como ponerle mejores sonido de piano y mejor string. llaketengo tan bien tengo el motiff xs8 pero las teclas son pesadas Dios te tevendiga.

Fuck I bought a jv1080 like three years ago to get the vintage synth card for it. They were all over ebay for 60 bucks and now they are very hard to get and cost over twice that. Man I hope I can still find one for a decent price. I don't even want to use it without the freaking card.

Hola. El Roland FA76 soporta expansiones SRX y SR-JV80. Tienes las siguientes opciones de expansión: SRX-02 "Concert Piano", SRX-07 "Ultimate Keys", SRX-11 "Complete Piano", SR-JV80-03 "Piano". De todas ellas, te recomiendo la SRX-07, ya que es la más completa. Saludos cordiales.
