"Detune" mode. Also known as "You also get a chorus pedal". ;)

The Divebomb effect sounds lackluster without Fuzz or distortion. But with those, It is one of my favorite effects of all time

at around 5:30 thanks for demonstrating the subtle half-step shifts from major to minor on tenth mode. without being asked you answered a crucial question for me and anyone else who'd want to use that function and still stay in key! thanks dudes

I got one of these when they first came out. Mostly used the octave settings. I sold it and went with dedicated octaves. I primarily play 5 string and bought a fretless 4. Gonna buy another one because the 4th down actually works pretty nicely and you can morph from eadg to bead. Never got into using the expression pedal much. It's cool if you throw a delay on after it though

Now I don't have to buy a 5 string bass!

could never understand why they didn't leave the footswitch from the whammy 2..makes zero sense to me i cannot move the knob by foot accurately and bending over is weaksauce

Now you have to get a Midi pedal. Buy more gear.

I have used the guitar whammy for years now and always loved. It was always a little off on the tracking side(only really for the higher stuff, but definitely noticeable). Will deffo get this, not just for the better tracking, but the 9v plug will really make a huge difference for me.
@jadeone9 жыл бұрын
Ianthebassist have your calibrated your whammy? Fixed the issues I had.
@ianboylan19819 жыл бұрын
Jaydn Turley i know how to calibrate it, yes. The guitar whammy doesn't have multi note tracking though, so the tracking is off. That's all I meant. Not to do with calibration.

It's really a shame that the guy keeps messing with the pitch shifter rather then letting us hear it without adjusting it constantly.

I wonder if this would work as well as the V on a baritone guitar. I like some of the intervals on the bass whammy better.
@alejandroriggi49510 жыл бұрын
I'm trying it with a tele sounds a little bit (really little) fatter than the whammy V, agressive yet smooth, like it's beeing a bit compressed first. I miss a bit the 2nd and b3rd intervals but overall but you should go for it.

My original pedal - a nice blue colour like the new one, has given up the ghost. I like the sounds of the new one, but it's a crying shame it doesn't have the wet and dry outputs like my old one. Now I'll have to put a mixer in the signal path before the pedal to split the dry signal out.
@nephilymbass18 жыл бұрын
I never tried it this way when I had the new one but if I'm not mistaken most of the new digitech pedals Tom has worked on have a trs out. So you may be able to plug a trs y to two mono 1/4" cable and get what you want. The meatbox works this way.

How well would this track for a guitar? I want the 5th Octave up option, but I don't want to have two Whammy pedals on my board (one for bass and the other for guitar). So would I be able to use this with guitar as well as bass?
@infesticon10 жыл бұрын
It'll be fine, It's just geared up more to a bass, With it's intervals and what not.

The Classic setting is supposed to have the same sound as the originals. But as a whole it's been updated and should be better. the new intervals are awesome and now can track chords. That sold me. I can't wait for these to start shipping. I just hope it's actually musical and not just a toy.

Cool! I want one! :)
@planyrescape9 жыл бұрын
the biggest problem I have with the update is that there is no way to switch between settings. the old bass bass whammy had a way to switch between settings that was very intuitive and easy to use. the new one doesn't, to my knowledge. to me, this is huge. i wish i could use these new settings and the better tracking. but it's more important to me to be able to use the detune setting and the +5th to +1octv setting in the same song. this is such a bummer for me. especially since i spent $600 on a classic bass whammy and at the time that was a steal. i would gladly give $200 for an updated version if it did what i needed! ugh....
@PANICBLADE9 жыл бұрын
planyrescape You could always sell the original bass whammy for what you bought it for then buy the updated one and a good digital chorus and pocket the remaining 300 dollars..

I seem to be hearing tones that would give the best pitch shifters and octavers a run for their money. An affordable POG? If only the guy would stop messing with the pedal....I love demos that focus on things that are musically useful. Why so hung up on the 10th? Maybe I am just more basic in looking for intervals at the 3rd, 5th, 7th and major 7th and octave. Most of the affordable octavers focus on 1 octave down for bass, so having an octave up (and down) would be great!
@Willbassyeah110 жыл бұрын
10th is octave of 3rd, it is musical in the sense that playing root with octave 3rd sounds good , anyway check out T-Rex new line of pedal, i cant remember the name but i watch it at Premier Guitar Musikmesse demo of the new T-Rex, its exactly a Micro Pog with the 5th up,
