In India, access to Public Service is open only to designated castes, tribe, and geographies BY LAW. So is admission to Universities, Colleges, most particularly medical and engineering colleges. The assumption that there is “Democracy” or “Secularism” in India is nonsense. Both Democracy and Secularism hinge on equality under law for all citizens. Whereas the Indian Constitution and laws, themselves, distribute opportunities in education and employment, privileges, entitlements, doles, exception to the rule of law, religious freedom, and even the right to contest elections on the basis caste, tribe, religion, gender, language, occupation and proximity to power or employment in Government Service. The only persons bereft of all rights, privileges and entitlements including ownership of hereditary property and profession are the Brahmanas and the Kshatriyas and, to some extent, the Vaishyas. Under the circumstances, every law and act of Indian Governance which flows from the Constitution and laws of India are a violation of democracy. Why dwell on only the egregious examples such as (1) the special privileges in education and employment granted to some peoples at the cost of others since 1949, (2) Nationalization of Airlines in 1953, (3) The abolition of the right of th Savarna Arya to be governed by their laws administered by the Brahmanas in 1955, (4) the Nationalization of Heritage temples under Brahmana and/or Princely trusteeship and direction, and the confiscation of their treasure, income, lands, water bodies together with the religious freedoms of their congregations in 1959 (5) The confiscation of the rights of the tribal of the Ghats, Himalayas and the Dandaka Aanya to forage, hunt and thoroughfare through the forests and to their own laws in 1959, (6) The confiscation of Banks in 1969. Selective confiscation of private Gold Holdings, Agricultural Land and Urban land under one guise or other and under one law or other depending on who it belonged to, since 1950s, etc etc? India is a colonial, casteist, communal, communist state run under an appropriate Constitution and laws.

@@akashsalve568 Not I. I know exactly what I am saying. India is not a democracy, secular or a republic to those who can read English, familiar with the real History of India, current events. the origin and real meaning of words such as democracy, secular, republic, freedom of religion, equality under law, and so on For example: (a) Fundamental Rights of Articles 14 and 15 that were abrogated by Ambedkar in 1949 to steal from the "haves" for the "have lots" in the name of the mythical "have nots" on the basis of caste, tribe, religion, gender, language, geography, majoritarian voting muscle, and proximity to power which have been steadily growing in collusion with India's corrupt and incompetent judiciary lacking integrity, have not been done away with but rather remain the leit motif of the Indian Rapeublic. (b) Fundamental Rights of Articles 20 and 21 which have been abrogated by exercise of sheer State callousness such as the non availability and non affordability of Legal assistance and the rule of law have been allowed to drift. For example Nehru's law of 1959 which took away the rights of the tribals to forage and thoroughfare through the forests of the Himalayas, Western Ghats and Dandakaranya,, has seen more than 80, 000 tribal incarcerated in cages like animals by forest officials for decades. (I was told this by Gopal Pillai when he was the Home Secretary). This law has contributed more to the growth of Naxalism and Maoism than any other PANGOLIN* law. or even Nehru's "social re-engineering” of the North East which has done little ought than further the spread of Christianity and insurgency. (c) The abrogation of Articles 25 and 28 of the Constitution in 1959 by Nehru who confiscated the Temples, treasure, lands, water bodies, educational institutions, gymnasiums and other commonwealth of the Brahmana led Savarna Arya and did away with their religious freedoms in gleeful consort with India's alien i You may find the links embedded in this link edifying to the confused: www.quora.com/What-in-your-opinion-are-the-undemocratic-aspects-or-elements-of-the-Indian-democracy-and-its-government/answer/Suchindranath-Aiyer?prompt_topic_bio=1

@@akashsalve568 You can point me wherever you like. But there can be no democracy or republic or secularism without equality under law by the very definition. India does not have equality under law as I have convincingly proved from History and current affairs. It remains for you now to compare this with the Universally accepted definitions of the terms that are used so loosely and to political convenience in India.
