Do you know anything about consideration of the case reform as that is in the spec but have no clue about it
@politicsexplainedtutoring7 ай бұрын
If you mean the case for reform for direct democracy, then this is in the argument for direct dem/arguments against rep dem in the video. The reform would be greater use of direct democracy in the UK, in particular through greater use of referendums

Just wondering in what type of question in edexcel would we actually need a full, in-depth knowledge of sufferage in the UK
@politicsexplainedtutoring6 ай бұрын
To be honest it's unlikely there would be one. It could possibly come up a bit in a source question. The potential reforms to suffrage are definitely important, however.

what's an example of reforms to democracy in the UK, as a third point for the question - that reforms to democracy in the UK have not gone far enough?

could you use newly introduced Voter ID laws which limit voters particularly from lower classes and background from voting as easily as evidence for a participation crisis
@politicsexplainedtutoring Жыл бұрын
Yes this would be brilliant to bring in; you could potentially suggest that a participation crisis among the young benefits the Tories because they do so badly among this demographic and they therefore even try to construct it
