Sir you are ignorant of the history of Marcus Garvey. He started his work in Jamaica fighting oppression, colonialism, economic exploitation. He started a political party and a trade union. He constantly agitated for his people. He soon extended his work to the West Indies and Central America. On deportation he worked tirelessly for the poor and disenfranchised people of Jamaica and black people of the world. Obama did not pardon Garvey because of his cowardice and because he is not a black man. He is a solid member of the establishment and the wealthy elite.

J Edgar Hoover was a man of color or colour if you have a British background. Because he could pass for white he did.That is why,I believe, he especially treated Murcus Garvey and other black people harshly as he certainly didn't want to be outed as black.
