And you have to wonder if its by design... brazenly lying then saying "so what?" to the public. We have yet another election coming up where the masses have accepted the idea that they must either vote for a morally bankrupt moron or a mental vegetable. Neither of these men would've gotten anywhere near a presidential ticket 40 yrs ago. I'd imagine that some very powerful people are laughing at the masses with the idea that we don't deserve true democracy, as we are so easily manipulated and distracted.

Yes, it is deeply admirable what Katharine Gun did in exposing the coercion on the UN delegates to support a UN Resolution sanctioning the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. We all lived through that insane run-up to that illegal, immoral war that wreaked havoc on the Cradle Of Western Civilization. I saw the film OFFICIAL SECRETS and I highly recommend that others see it for the honesty of its portrayal - and the poignance of what was at stake in terms of the future devastation and mass death and mass fleeing of refugees that has unsettled Europe. I can't help but feel that it was the beginning of the end of US Power and dominance in the world...
