@@Jamie-js3qw if you don't stick to your core values, due to peer group pressure or fear of reprisals, eventually we will all end up in a race to the bottom. Lead by example, and when you're faced with your own mortality someday, trust me?. You want to be at peace when that happens. If you're religious, or atheist, it won't matter when you check out.. I'd much rather go out with a near death hallucination, journey, final flicker of my candle to occur with a clear conscience. You don't want to find out that death is a long hallucination where your life flashes before your eyes, it feels like forever, and all you see is the things you were involved in that killed innocent people. Really, that's what the world needs, more women like this? I think we need less women like this. As in women who would never even consider joining the CIA, or the MI6, or whatever they call it in England. Not ones who join, because they're so personally ambitious that being in the state dept. isn't good enough, and they get talked into something even juicer. And then eventually what's left of their soul can't take it any longer, and so they turn state's evidence. So I would say that's not what the world is craving right about now. I guess it's better than nothing.

I feel for Annie. Why is it that good people with a moral compass who bravely seek to speak the truth in order to keep the masses informed, aware and able to be protected are the very ones who are then hunted, harrassed, stalked, bullied and targeted from the top, to the point of losing everything you have. I'm out of money, through no fault of my own and will now lose my house. I've had a "series of unfortunate events" as the film of the same title portrays. So many awful things, intentional underhand things have been thrust not just at me but at my family over the years. All for being honest! Something is truly wrong when innocent people are targeted by excuses for people who have access to your life, when they are not fit to! Stay safe Annie. Thank you for the insight. God bless you and your family 👍

She made erroneous judgements about a case regarding Palestinians, here is what I found : Crown prosecutors said evidence linking the 2 convicted Palestinians to the cars that carried the explosives was “overwhelming”. Both Botmeh and Alami admitted having had possession of five pounds of explosives which were used to make the bombs. Alami said she had had three hand guns and the explosives and guns were found in a lock-up she rented. But the pair denied they had intended to use the materials for explosions in Britain.

That are not exactly the most important qualities needed to become an effective field agent for an intelligence agency I'm afraid. She should have become newsreader, a radio reporter or indeed, a diplomat, fine with me. But not a field agent. That's not her mistake, that underlines how unprofessional the recruitment of field agents still was in those days, even after Philby & Co. Not sure about how that is today. If it is still as unprofessional, it's no wonder the Russians and Chinese remain the real spy masters.

It is strange, isn't it? It's not hard to work out that making sure people can only get drugs from criminals means that drug use funds terrorism. Then there are all of the social, health and tax benefits of taking a public health perspective when it comes to drugs, rather than crime perspective. It seems the only thing keeping us from decriminalising or even legalising drugs (and therefore achieving all of the related benefits) is people's irrational fears and unwillingness to be open.

@@bfc3057 when Shayler signed up with the MI5, I doubted that he was provided an independent legal advise. If they joined the government agency when they were young, they might not fully understand the liabilities awaited. They thought they served for the purpose of the Public interest. It turned out it was not the public interest but the government interest at the time. Shayler was hunted down by the provision of public interest. We all know as of today, these two can be divorced, i.e., the public interest (the voter's interest) and the government. Both of them served for the government, not necessary for the public interest. when Shayler was convicted for disclosure of confidential information for the reasons of a draconian contract he signed without an independent legal advice at the first place. He should be pardoned after disciplined, giving if there was no actual damages to the public interest not the government. Overall, this example should discourage young, naive university students or graduates without working experience to join the government machinery. The machinery crushes private citizen as a cockroach. I still believe public interest and government interest are not necessarily the same thing.

This is why, despite all the fascination around secret agencies, and despite my own personal qualifications, I could never work in such an environment. I remember low level intelligence jobs recruiters coming to the campus and making it all appear fantastic, but I ran away from them at full speed. As an avid watcher of The Behavior Panel (Body Language Experts for non-watchers), I thought that was very interesting that she did a ''cut'' move with her finger on her throat while saying the phrase ''a slide towards totalitarism'' at the end of the video, I think that speaks loudly of her feeling of dread about a democracy ending. We're only hearing her side of the story though. For example they've never proven the Bishopsgate bomb could have been stopped, they didn't for example name the people that supposedly MI5 would have been following, or what exactly was "bungled" for example whether it was the IRA smuggling the bomb in and they got lucky with a section of lights and managed to slip away down a road that wasn't covered or what exactly. Her fella also went completely insane and started raving about aliens and now thinks he's a woman 😂 not exactly the sort of person you should be trusting to have a reasonable discussion based on facts with.

I have two video's on my channel of what happened to me 15 years ago after making a complaint at Immigration, where I worked and after applying to Mi5. My future was destroyed. I had been talking about how girls were being abused at the Home Office and how Immigration were corrupt. Mi5 , the IPT, Police , MP's all knew about this before I did the video's and they weren't of much help. I totally understand where she is coming from and in my experience, no one wants to know. I didn't want to know what I was told, but I think it's in the Public interest to know that you can be watched , manipulated and caused to be dangerous to yourself or others by the Home Office and Mi5. Had I died , the truth would not have come out.

Ironically it's really the other way around. Think about it logically, a minor mistake in what was otherwise a successful assassination plot leads to the wrong car getting blown up, and some civilians dying. Not great, but let's not pretend assassinating world leaders is easy, even in Libya, they have protection, the fact it went ahead at all is impressive as the people who "walked in" could potentially have just taken the cash and run away... Now that isn't great but it isn't massively terrible either, you're implying the stuff we don't hear about is much worse, affecting many thousands across the UK every week levels of bad, BUT if a couple people getting killed in Libya was enough to cause these people to turn whistleblower then you really think NOBODY else in MI5 would for something many times worse? That doesn't stand to reason at all, everyone who works there is a human being, sure a disproportionately high number will be psychopaths but not all of them. When MI5 does something genuinely unequivocally "good", really well and stops a major terrorist attack, we naturally don't hear about it. They don't shout every success because it would make the next success less likely, the stuff we DON'T hear about is more likely fine.

Several years ago, I was about to join the Royal Marines, when I was approached by an individual dressed in a naval officers uniform, with no rank insignia, no medals etc. He wasn't navy though, he saluted in the 'palm outward' style used by the Army, Marines & Airforce not the ''Palm down' of the navy. He had Laurel leaves on his cap, which meant he was too senior an officer to be interviewing candidates. He chatted informally, mentioned a few things that let me know he knew exactly who I was... and then asked me about a friend (who was also in the process of joining the Marines) and if he'd shown any political leanings (I answered honestly - 'no') and 'if a place in the same troop could be guaranteed' would I be prepared to report back on him? I politely declined and ended any military career. I mentioned this to someone I trusted who was 'in the know', and they said he was certainly the same character that had approached him in the preceding weeks. The trusted confidante told me he was certainly intelligence and that if I'd have done it, I'd have been military intelligences 'bitch' for life. Or if I'd have continued with pursuing my military career after refusing, it probably would have stalled my career (if I'd have been allowed in) and I'd have found myself being refused all promotion and training courses.
