====
When the Nord Stream pipelines carrying natural gas from Russia to Germany were damaged last September, U.S. officials were quick to suggest Russia had bombed its own pipelines. But according to a new report by the legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, it was the U.S. Navy that carried out the sabotage, with help from Norway. Citing a source "with direct knowledge of the operational planning," Hersh writes on his Substack blog that planning for the mission began in December of 2021. The White House and the Norwegian government have since denied the claims. Hersh joins us for an in-depth interview to discuss his report and says the U.S. decision to bomb the pipelines was meant to lock allies into support for Ukraine at a time when some were wavering. "The fear was Europe would walk away from the war," he says. Hersh won a Pulitzer Prize in 1970 for his reporting on the My Lai massacre. His reporting on CIA spying on antiwar activists during the Vietnam War era helped lead to the formation of the Church Committee, which led to major reforms of the intelligence community, and in 2004, he exposed the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal in Iraq.

What's really frustrating were the amount of people in America who strongly argued that Russia took out its own pipeline when it made no logical sense. The mental gymnastics displayed was even crazier than the WMD claims in Iraq. People always let their emotions cloud their judgement no matter the generation or the information we have access to.

Yeah it makes no sense that Russia, a country that bombed its own territory as a false flag pretence to invade Chechnya, would ever do another false flag attack on itself... Russia also did a bunch of false flag attacks leading up to their invasion of Ukraine, and false flag attacks leading up to their invasion of Georgia. Oh, and false flag attacks to justify their chemical bombing runs in Syria.

This is the best report wrapped in a speech by Seymour Hersh. My deepest respect. I'm born 19 years after him. But he is not an old man with an aging spirit, I regret that I ever allowed myself to think along that line. This man is excellent! Nevertheless - if all that is really true - I'm not even asking for the source. America has indeed destroyed a pipeline to Europe, motivated by two major arguments: 1. the fear that Germany might giver a green light to Russia to open it again and 2. To be in control of gas deliveries to Europe - in effect to make money and cancel the cheap gas coming from Russia. That is mind blowing! Divers down 260 feet, mines placed (1 mile apart), divers up, decompression chamber, remote ignition of all mines. Make a run for it. I wonder now what is the future of NATO and can that lead to nuclear war? I am very concerned it may. Biden is now exactly in the position the he accused the Russians of. He is now in control of "weaponizing" natural gas. He has destroyed a vital pipeline for Germany and - if true - will soon offer American gas to Germany at a higher price than the Russians. It is mind blowing!

That German chacellor is an idiot as those who helped him to hold that possition. At the end, for the US to do this and to get away with it, you need to have an even “dumbest” country than the US to accept this sabotage on their own pipelines; stay absolutely quite about it while their own population are paying between three to four times the price before the war started; companies shutting down (aluminum smelters, i.e.) and planning to cross the ocean to start over in the US; and still having idiots in that country of dummies saying “we have to stand up for Ukraine” instead of pushing US bases out of their country, getting out of NATO and moving on towards the most worthy economical position for them, that is getting along with Russia and supplying themselves again with the cheap gas they need. Yes, that country of dummies is Germany. Yes, yes, I know, they can build nice cars. That’s a skill and not collective intelligence which is it already obvious they lack (three times in around 100 hundred years they have demonstrated Germany is not only a country of “superior human beings” but just the opposite… there’s no other country in the world with more dopes per square mile).

It's amazing so many people still have doubts about this, that they have to repeat the USA/Norway theory every other moment. When we saw 4 explosions in 3 pipes, 2 in the same pipe 50 miles apart, and one completely untouched pipe - we had no doubt who was the perpretator and the associated message. Any other entity who might wish to shut down the pipelines with explosions, would have done one explosion on each pipe where they are right next to each other, and thereby terminated the pipes 100%. My goodness, how difficult is it?

Ok, they didn’t leave a picture of Biden pointing at the destruction with a caption that says, “ I did this!” But there is a speech he gave but I know you will say he meant something else. “We will stop the nordstream 2 pipeline.” A reporter asks how since it is under Germany’s control. A wink and a smirk, “We have a way, trust me.” Then you quote the same mantra from the 2020 election. “ Not one shred of evidence of voter fraud has been found.” Is that all it takes to deceive you? Do you recall when Trump stopped the construction on Nord 2? One of Biden’s first executive orders was to stop Keystone. Then he approved Nord 2. Then 2 years later he. BLOWS IT UP? When the bombs begin “bursting in air” I hope you don’t seek solace that it’s just “Russian disinformation” because just like me, you don’t have a ticket to the shelter that has movie theaters and bowling alleys.

In Donetsk, there is a whole alley of the names of children killed by the Ukrainian Nazis (called "Alley of Angels"). And everyone laughed in our face, and said that we were lying about the genocide. And for 8 years we believed that it was possible to stop the killing of Russians in Ukraine peacefully. And we wondered why everyone was silent about it. I wonder if those who laughed at us, are they laughing now? Journalists, who concealed the mass killings of Russians in Ukraine, are also to blame for this (in Odessa alone, on May 2, 2014, 100 unarmed Russians were burned alive, and no one was even convicted for this).

People who criticize Zelenskyy for instance never had the pleasure of growing up in a social cluster of mostly Ukrainians descended of several class systems pre-1917. This is a revenge war as much as an actual Ukrainian identity with Liberal democracy which has been kept alive since Stalin stalked the earth. He’s talking to the wind and a bunch of dead Scot’s and Irish who have only raised their middle finger to him. And it’s no wonder then that his reasoning bangs him up to the edge of fascism.

In times of war, wherein it's frequently very difficult to know whether news are true or not, it always helps trying to find who benefits from a particular situation. So, in the case of the destruction of the Nord Stream Pipeline, we must ask ourselves: who benefits the most from its destruction? Europe? Obviously not, 'cause cheap gas, especially in winter, is crucial for their economy and societies. Does Russia benefits from its destruction? It is very hard to believe in this hypothesis, since Russians loose a great font not only of revenue but mainly of political bargain against Europe; with Nord Stream, they could always threating Europe with cutting its gas, thereby keeping in check Europe's total subservience to the US, but without the pipeline, that option is lost. It's very clear that the US is who benefits the most, not only economically, because now Europe has to buy all of the monstrous amount of its gas from the US, at enormous prices, but mostly geopolitically, because now the Us has Europe at the palm of their hands, incapable of taking any decisions that contradicts US's interests. Anyone who's not blinded by ideologies or has no interest in lying can see this very clearly. So, in short: is there any definitive evidence that the US blown the pipeline? No. But EVERY serious geopolitical analysis points to their hands in the trigger.

Look deeper into this interview. Seymour Hersh does not defend his report and shows clear pro-Russian bias. There are a lot of reasons why this benefitted Russia to have these blown up. He just doesn’t cover them because he wants Russia to win the war by his own confession in this interview. He also makes plain wrong claims like that this war is going well for Russia and that the Chancellor of Germany is from the Green party (The Chancellor of Germany is actually from SDP party). The credibility of this guy is basically zero 🤷‍♂️ “I wouldn’t even think of giving a story like this to the New York Times. They’ve decided that the Ukraine War is going to be won by Ukraine and that’s what its readers get and so be it. That’s their call.” (9:18) “The Russians.. I don’t think. I think the end is just a question of time. Right now it’s a question of how many more people Zelensky wants to kill of his own people. It’s gunna be over”. (13:33) “There’s also a continuing of hatred of all things Putin in this country… and that’s not useful.” (13:55) Interlocutor: “There are some people who are saying that this particular exposé does not have a whole lot of documentation. That it essentially relies on one source. One internal anonymous source of yours. How do you respond to those criticisms that this is much less documented than previous exposés of yours?” (18:00) “I think [this piece] is going to undercut NATO, which I always found to be supremely useless” (18:58) “As for the source question. I, you know… I’m not bothered... That’s why people like me are in self-publishing.” (19:58)

Anyone that said that Russia bombed its own pipeline is lying to himself, it's so absurd. But there is people so biased and so willing to believe lies that support his propagandist view that don't realize that what they claim does not make any sense. Russia investing millions in a strategic infrastructure, and then investing more resources (in the middle of a war) in conducting an operation just out of the coast of Denmark, deep in the water. Why would Russia would destroy that pipeline when they can just close it?? If they really wanted to supress the delivery of gas to Germany they can just close it, or say that there is some malfunction and they have to interrupt that service. There is a general principle in strategy that is: is best to do that that maximizes your future possibilites of action. Destroying your infrastrure has no benefit at all for Russia whatsoever. But it does benefit the US, clearly. It's so obvious that I am shocked that so many people just accepted the version of the US administration that is devoid of all logic.
