But isn't it in the US Immigration Laws that a foreigner/alien can only become a US citizen if he/she came in legally as al an immigrant and have resided in the US for continuous 5 years, have to pass a US History test, be fluent in English, paid all your taxes, pass a criminal background check not only from the US but from the country you came from, pass a physical exam including a Psych exam , and pay a fee? That is what we all have gone through to become US citizens? Do you think this is fair for us and the citizens of the US?

Today is a great day!! Thank you.. my family has been here for 15 years working hard, pay taxes, and can’t afford to leave this country as to the jobs they have and their families, and pay bills like everyone else.. I’m so happy they don’t have to leave!!! Yay 🙌🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼 they do jobs that nobody else would want to do and get paid minimum wages!! Family are building building other people’s homes, doing their landscaping at minimum wages, other families are cleaning peoples home and at minimum wages to take care of their families!! Now they can really get great jobs with the great hardworking people and their dedication to their work and families! It’s about time.. some have been waiting for their interview in Juarez for over 6 years and nothing, still saying it’s going to take another year to two .. but today all of this hard work paid off for my families!! I’m born and raised here in America, and so sad to see what my family members have to go through, and no way will I work like they do at minimum wage!! Heck NO!! I have a great job not hard as theirs but in law enforcement and happy with my pay!! You couldn’t pay me enough to clean homes, bathrooms scrub walls or nothing like that!! Nope!! Not at 15.00 an hour!! They work seven days a week 12-14 hours a day!!! 😮Nope not me I couldn’t do all that!! Today is a great day for my family and myself to see their happiness. Thank you Biden!!❤

Perhaps having shuffled between countries for most of my childhood before becoming a settled migrant in the UK then traveling some more and working for the last few decades with displaced peoples from all over the world who end up, as we did, in the UK....I find it difficult to empathize with the territorial and racist idea of the 'evil savage coming over the frontier to take our women, our children, our farms etc.' Even in prehistory, the old stereotype of the barbarian horde on horseback raiding, burning and pillaging was only half the story and there was a majority of peaceful (enough) co-existence between peoples to share and work the land and skills....However, the barbarian horde image becomes popular when times are tough and people find their certainties questioned....They get scared and when they get scared they get tribal, they start to limit their minds and their horizons and the idea of 'us' and 'them' starts to arrive. Throughout all history, there are always those ready to sell 'us' and 'them' and promise drastic action to solve 'the problem' and blood is easily heated and subsequently easily shed. These are such times and I suppose they will go exactly as every one has done because that is Human nature. Those who will attack, mock and vilify will do so, but they would be best to remember what exactly they want? If it is to feel better about life's problems by lashing out the boot and the fist at the imaginary 'other' who is the cause of all your problems and feel 10 ft high for a few hours then go ahead, knock yourself out .... but if it is to actually address and solve your problems then know that none of this, no promise by no demagogue and purveyor of illusions, will make your life one gram better. This applies equally to any other group or any other 'other' be it on the supposed Right or supposed Left, be it those attacking the 'evil rich' or the 'evil hungry', those lamenting one supposed historical injustice or another.
