Uhm we say this every election. The entire country is to be blame for this. Low participation compare to eligible voters in the country and we end up with 2 party candidates in November. Even in the midterms, we complain about local policies and our cities declining, yet do little to nothing to help change that. The equation is simple vote in ppl who say they will work to change it, no progress, vote them out, vote someone else in. If the terms are too long, call for referendums, reduce terms, increase accountability. These guys/gals in elected office feel no accountability. They have both parties' (local, state and national level) apparatus propping them. Raise money, get some ad buy, Raised your name ID even more, so, on election day, voters see name and see Republican, vote Republican, same with a Demcratic leaning voter. Only 5-10 percent of all voters are truly voting based on platforms, a bunch is swayed by relations to family members and friends or just political affiliation - not letting the other guy win, even if your guy is terrible person and terrible at his job.

I do think some candidates through the years have run simply to send a message and try to shake up things, such as what Andrew Yang did in 2020. I like his personality and detect his intelligence. A great candidate and great ideas. I agree it seems weird that JB isn't on air, interviewing and town-halling, ceding all the air time to Trump. There are tons of outstanding POTUS candidates out there for the Dem's but if the only reason we haven't heard of them is because they're being suppressed, well that's wrong. I don't think JB as an incumbent with a great record is necessarily a shoo-in! Biden should be coming with the eye of the tiger, not lying back on his laurels. I fear he doesn't have the fight in him, or perhaps he is just waiting for Trump to implode and lose more and more in court...who knows? I know I would not dismiss Rep. Phillips just yet, lets hear him out!

I am a Minnesotan, this guy represents the richest by income district in the state. It is historically a Republican safe district. He is going to be personna non grata back here in Minnesota. He is a mulitmillionaire, scion of a very rich family. He was always in business, never in public service until he got elected to congress.
