When he finally grows a spine. Yeah, I voted for him, but he's so weak when it comes to hitting the rubes back. If he'd come out & be loud & aggressive, tell folks what he's done, rip the Republicans a new 1 for obstructing this bill & others, he'd have a fighting chance to save us this election cycle. If he doesn't start doing that soon, we're doomed to another 4 years of Derp Führer.

I think what they are saying is they are tired of Dems giving in to Radical, racist Repubs that caused the border issue. Repubs know how to break shit and blame Dems, and Dems think if they show the voters they try to cooperate that will make any difference. Repubs in Florida were the ones behind the Colombian contract killers that assassinated Haitian president Moìse to cause unrest and create an influx of migrants, look it up. They are also responsible for Mexican cartels working with smugglers in the US so that governors like Desantis and Abbot could use tax payer money to ship them across the United States. Repubs cause the migrant crisis using murder and bribery and then Dems are foolish enough to try and work with them to fix it

By then Republicans had learned that they don't get the credit when Dems pass their bills, so they axed that, and just about everything else Dems were seeking bipartisanship for. Why would it suddenly work a decade later? You cannot out right wing the right. I wish Dems would stop trying it. All it does is push the Democratic Party, and thus the country, further to the right.

Regular watchers of the show should be prepared for several more unhinged screeds from Sam in the coming months where he desperately tries to defend how he was right all along about the immigration bill citing cherry picked unnamed sources quoted from some obscure columnist to claim victory. Also, be prepared for Sam to ask plenty of guest if they think he is right about democrats losing the argument on immigration. (Sorry, I should have marked "spoiler alert" on that comment)

So I should be prepared that Sam called the same thing that MANY other people who were skeptical about Biden called? I can read the bill myself, I really don't know what unnamed sources and cherry picked information you're speaking about. There is a bill, either it is full of right wing stuff or it isn't. Trying to pretend otherwise is bad faith.

@@darksaint0124 I can read the bill too. Sam called the bill terrible weeks before it was even released. Since then, he has complained incessantly about how it was a complete capitulation and failure without discussing any specifics. He has taken the position that any bill that doesn't achieve 100% of the democratic wish list must be considered a failure. He maintains that continuing the same strategy that has resulted in zero legislation in 3+ decades to continue arguing about it is smart strategy while providing no example of a "narrative" to change the public's mind. Whether people want to ignore the reality or not, the truth is that there are more than 5x the number of people coming to the border in the past few years than we have had in a decade, and this is expected to continue into the future for many years due to the projected economic performance of the US v. the rest of the world. Providing more resources to handle the increase is needed to prevent further humanitarian crisis and suffering while expediting the backlog of asylum claims. No legislation is perfect, but calling this an abject failure is just another excuse for Sam to baselessly bash Joe Biden without providing any solutions.

Remember "progressives", when Trump gets 4 more years and does a better job than last time tearing down so many things you should have appreciated more, remember your ability to spot every little tiny imperfection of Biden's while you were completely unable/unwilling to accept that at this particular moment in time there are too many people coming into the country

It will be on Biden and the democrats for being utterly incompetent. Don't try to pass the buck on the people, it's not the people's job to get Biden reelected that's Biden's job. If you're so concerned about Biden not being reelected because he's supporting unpopular policies, then hep the people change the Biden administration's policies instead of getting people to vote against their own self-interest.
