However, Sir Daggerwin was right about the return of the straw, though not in the form of pot ash: The straw mainly contains potassium but also phosphorus, sulfur and magnesium. A straw harvest of 4 tonnes/ha removes around 40 kilos of potassium, 4 kilos of phosphorus, 6 kilos of sulfur and 5 kilos of magnesium per hectare. (IRL) Just a bit of unnecessary information. ;-)

Put the cow farm in field 42. Plow the sides of 48, make it one big grass field. Put a small shed on the flat space near the house to keep all grass equipment in. And don't forget to buy a stonepicker. You need to stonepick most fields.

Hey Daggerwin, this is one of the greatest Let's Play Series I've ever had the luxury of enjoying! I hope you keep can it going on until the new FS game drops in a couple years. But you'll probably need to only do it 2x a month, cuz you have other LP's going. But yes, this is awesome! As far as your livestock trailer, it's a little longer than your biggest tanker trailer, but not by much. Your tandem axles are(obviously) as far back as they can get, and as a truck (lorrie) driver in the USA, if I have the option & room to slide my tandems all the way back, I do. It makes it much easier to back into a dock space between other trailers. You just need practice is all. And with that single screw cab over truck (one of my favorite trucks) you can really maneuver the trailers into some tough spots with ease. Chickens, there are a couple of mods on modhub that allow for a LOT of chickens. There's an open pen that holds 500, (there may be an issue with feed capacity, I can't remember which chicken pen mod had that issue) but yes m there's also one that can house 5,000 foul!!! That's a ton of cash in eggs! Lastly, there are also mods for grass fermentation into silage. If done right you can cut your grass 5x a year. Cut it, windrow with your monster windrower, then either get a forage wagon (cheapest option, but not that fun) or a forage harvester (that doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean. This is the most expensive option, but way more fun) and get as much grass moving through the fermenter as possible, then go get rich on silage. That's my 2 cents worth, there will be a book signing later this evening for anyone that's interested 🤣🤣🤣

14:45 Older cows will still produce the same, but they eat more and the value will go down. Look at the 16 month old worth 1050 while the 60 month old are worth 1000, max value I think was 1200. (After you moved them they droped even more) You should sell the old ones, the cows in the big barn is about to reproduce anyway, filling it up with older cows will pause that. 25:00 Leaving the tractor there is gonna block the robot. It will still feed the cows, it just won't come out and show you the animation.

Usually go in 3rds, so I always have 2/3 that are producing milk and reproducing, takes a while before just the selling of livestock becomes profitable, but you can eventually make a buck.

Hi Daggerwin... quick observation if no one has mentioned it yet. You can't leave that TMR mixer in your barn. The feeding robot needs that entire run to work. You just need to keep it somewhere other than inside that run in the barn.

To answer your periodic question about animal reproduction %.....it's about that particular animal's progress through the reproduction cycle to have a baby animal, not about how 'productive' they are. Not that you asked specifically this episode, but I hear you pondering about it in your various series and haven't seen an answer to this previously. Love the move to a new cow barn, BUMP the comment about moving the TMR wagon... could empty it in the new shed, but will struggle to beat the robot to feeding... 🤔😉

I could be wrong, but if I remember right, "potassium" literal translation is "pot ash", back in the day ppl would create pot ash with a large enclosed burn of twigs, smaller limbs, flower etc to extract the potassium, they then would use the ashes as fertilizer, hence potassium boost which is needed for the flowering stage in growth

You blocked the robot... also give the new cows bedding straw. I don't think it uses what you've put in there for the robots as it's used for TMR. If you give them bedding straw to produce slurry then maybe it'll recognize the bigger pit 👍

Take that articulating orange tractor and put it on permanent harvester header duty using the follow me mod. Just never unhook it from the trailer. It will make getting the header in and out of the shed a doddle

You could buy a fermenting silo that turns gras, hay or what you call it bulk materials when harvest for ex. Corn before it ready then you don't have to do baling and get a wagon for picking up gras and so on. I sometimes use a fermenting silo, thinks is ok work.

I have that same Slurry Tank/Spreader and have had the same issue multiple times, I turn on double application and only uses single. and then if I start a worker it does double application and afterwards I can run double application manually. not sure if issue with the game or that piece of machinery.

Why are you looking to buy field 48 when you could buy 30 or 36 for less and get far more useful land into the bargain? What's more, where you're planning on putting the new cow shed would be further away than if it's in 36 by the bridge, so the convenience you spoke of is false. Not to mention the field expansion you've said you would do half a dozen times and never have. At least you won't waste the TMR in the mixer, now that you've blocked the robot.🤣🤣🤣🤣
