Thanks so much about your enthusiastic review of our book 'Inside the Mind of Sherlock Holmes' ! :D

I will enthusiastically be seeking out the next English editions and speaking about them in the same way! Thank you for making a wonderful book…and for watching!

@@OffMyShelves We're currently working on our next Sherlock story, set in Scotland. But since the UK version by Titan Comics is a compilation of the 2 parts of the French original books (and it will be the same for this new story), I guess it will be some time time before you get in English ;) But it is on the way nonetheless :D Thanks again !

The brief of Worm reminded me of 'Cuba: My Revolution', an autobiographical book from Vertigo, which also had a similar setting in Cuba.

I will have to check that out!

Good to see another using Goodreads I myself love it. As for your goal you can actually change it as I’ve had to do, so my TBR was 139 but now rereading a couple books I’ve updated it to 141 as my goal, so if it helps with your progress it’s something you can do. Really liked this video seeing what you went through a nice mix as I expected from yourself.

Thank you for the tips! And glad you liked the video and the selection, very much appreciated 👍✌️

You got through many thick books this month! Reminds me how little time I’ve had for comics in January🤔It’s a good thing February is already looking better in that sense. Seeing BPRD always makes me want to re-read it. Endlessly entertaining it is. You said you never finished it? I wish I could experience this series again for the first time.
@OffMyShelves9 ай бұрын
Nope never finished it. I think if my memory serves I bought volumes 1-3 in HB and sold them. I think more than anything at the time I wanted more Hellboy and it’s not Hellboy it’s its own thing and I didn’t appreciate as much as I do now then. Hope you have some great reads in February my friend!

Well you've certainly been busy 😉 Actually I've not done too badly myself last month: got through 12 (although several were quite short and a couple of them I started in December so was just finishing them off 😂) Thanks for the update, that's reminded me to bump several up the wishlist XD. (Actually I've just remembered I read 13, but couldn't decide what I thought of it so was waiting to finish another one before rating them both on GR 😅) [P.S. zatu seem to have several interesting items on sale that I'm eyeing up at the moment. Might be worth a look]

Some of these were overlaps from the last week of December too but to record the vids I’m tending to go before the end of the month so it ready so technically all of them will have overlap with the previous month. So basically your list is fine with me! Will check out Zatu too thanks for the tip!

Hi I wondered if you had any good site where I can get a copy Vagabound Vol.2? - Loved the first one and now I'm stuck!

Hi! I have been looking since this comment came through and I have found nowt. I would set a stock alert on a few sites as they do get reprinted at least once a year or just a little more. Hope you fine it.

“Monica” just recently won the grand book prize for 2023 in the Angoulême Festival. Is it worth it, in your opinion?….
@OffMyShelves9 ай бұрын
Well, I certainly think there are parts of it that are prize worthy. But I also think as a whole it misses the mark as a prize winner for me. It’s all pretty subjective tbf but there you go!

I couldn’t get along with Toussaint, overly complicated, wordy, names and more names. Not for me

I do think it will be the case for a few people that they don't gel with it. I went in knowing the story and reading similar dialogue a writing in historical books and articles so I found it flowed well. But I can fully see why it could overwhelm and put off people.
