@@linato1855 Ciao Bella Lina I love roses as well, do you need to protect them from the snow where you live? They don’t like the hot windy 40 C days here It’s getting colder now, I don’t mind as long as it’s sunny I like lightning candles in Winter or an open fire if it gets too cold How are your knees now? @@mariagdaws6083, I had a little laugh about the roses not liking 40c. Everywhere I travelled in the tropics they have roses thriving. Have you tried those suitable to your planting zone? This year my roses are amazing after next to nothing last summer because of the severe cold and my inability to perform the winterizing routine, after having had my knee done. I asked hubby to do it and ….😵‍💫🤣! I use the fallen leaves after using the blower/vac in the fall and pack them from the base up, after cutting some of the length and tying them. I had bought some snow cones (made of styrofoam) but they get damaged easily, so I just put invert empty pots over the whole thing and a big rock on top to keep them from blowing off. The piles of snow usually does that, when it finally comes. We can get 45c below zero, so they need protection. A lot of work but, incredible sight when in bloom. Some petals are falling off after two weeks of blaze so, I’m going to try finding a video to upload on my channel… Big hug❣️

@@linato1855 Ha ha, I think it’s the combination of dry hot winds and 40C hot sun that my roses don’t like The blooms frizzle, I just remove those blooms and they flower again I remember one year of many consecutive 40C days in our last home the lemons on our tree cooked and were uneatable Lucky here in Melbourne our heat waves of a few days are followed by a cool change It takes a lot of work and effort to protect your roses from the snow but are worth it for their beauty A few of my other plants are frost sensitive and I’m still learning at 73 where best to plant in my relative new garden. Enjoy your roses 🌹🌹🌹
