Creator here I figured out while building it the zip cord would be pretty much useless compared to the muletape. There's too many gaps a bullet can slip through without hitting the kevlar strands. Your better off with more layers of muletape, duct sealant, and the metal insert plates from an OLT than the excessive thickness of the patch cords. I only used the fiber patch cords to tell the difference between the as-is and hardened steel versions. I also liked it for the iconic look that I figured other techs would catch on to.

20 zombies coming to my house.. its funny because i was designing a video game based on night of the living dead and theres a rifle in that movie but i didnt know what it was and was too lazy to look it up so i made it an m1 garand.. the difference between these two guns is the situation and the game last train home is really great for implementing different style soldiers be it riflemen, machine gunner, sniper, medic or grenadier.. a shotgun is amazing for sneaking in close and taking care of business if youre out in the field or lying in wait and taking care of business as the enemy comes to you which is often my favorite strategy for dealing with bases and large groups of enemies.. the ol 300 trick of funneling them into an enclosed area and shooting them like fish in a barrel.. that being said do you really want to wait until the zombies are in your house or take care of them on the lawn? plants vs zombies is one of my favorite games of all time but until botanists learn how to train level 4 pea shooters and cabbage and corn launching plants im a say that in this scenario its the m1 garand all day but just in case you didnt have time to target all of them outside the ksg would be real handy by your bedpost just in case a few of them got inside..

As for the whole its a zombie part well it seems pretty commonly accepted that one has to "remove the head" but do some medical research and realize that one could make a zombie little more then a angry head attached to a corpse by simply hitting them in the upper torso. See the spine is setup in such a way that unless i hit it at Diaphram level or lower it still renders the rest of the body paralyzed and therefore your zombie is as i said above nothing more then a angry head attached to a corpse and 30-06 has enough power to quite easily reach the spine to say the least

@@tetraxis3011 And since they come in clips, it's way more efficient to reload than shoving in shell after shell in the KSG.. 20 zombies, maximum 3 clips you need since they come in 8 round clips, compared to at least fumbling around with 10 shells with the KSG before the last 10 zombies comes at you. In a defensive position where you hold a door or two, the short KSG wont matter the slightest. Garand any day.

I think this depends. Are we talking about the fast moving zombies like we've seen from the Dawn of the Dead or we talking slow moving zombies from the Walking Dead? Then the next question, are the zombies killed from a brain shot like in most zombie movies, or are the zombies merely infected people who will still die from normal trauma wounds? Are we facing zombies like that from Return of the living dead part 1 where they don't die from brain shots? Not a bad question Burt.... I think the type of zombie will weight in heavily as to what type of firearms or weapons that will be better suited.

Creator of the "Fiber Technician Special" here, It was the Same Material, Same setup, Same Weaving. I used OLT insert plates, duct sealant and muletape as the primary materials. The only real difference was the Yellow wrapped one didn't get hardened/heat treated steel, and it also got fiber cable wrapping so it would be easier to tell the 2 apart. I asked them if I could send in 2 separate versions cause I purposely wanted to know if the steel hardening process will help or if it's just a waste of time and effort. Unfortunately I don't what type of metal composition it is, just know it was magnetic. All the metal came from blank insert cards on an Adtran TA5000 OLT Also the process I used was pretty basic forging, coal campfire pit and a fan to blow it. Heated it up til it demagnetized and quenched it vegetables oil. Then stuck in an oven at 400° for 3hrs I believe. Tried to keep everything as true to my theme as I could, if you found yourself out in fiber hut could you make practical homemade body armor. So I'm sure someone with a real forge and some real experience would have done a better job on the steel hardening part than I did, but it was my first time attempting such a thing.
@SailinCTD2 жыл бұрын
@@woodntuliktano Not knowing what type of steel it is, is huge. So for example A36 steel, which is the most popular structural steel. It does not matter how hot or how long you heat it and how you quench it. It will still be very close to the same hardness after. While a lot of other steels just need to be heated to their transition temp and quenched in oil. And then some steels need very specific steps done while heating and quenched almost perfectly when it comes to cooling time and how even they are cooled. Also the bake at 400 degrees May have gotten rid of most of any hardness you got from heat treat. And this is all in guessing that you had non hardened steel to begin with. I recommend doing a file test next time, if you try again. You can also get hardness testing file sets if you wanted to get more into it.

If you're going to hold competitions like this I think it's only fair that you make the rules well known and consistent because I think Black was cheated out of a win here. They made the better armour, they just didn't want to waste a lot of money making it full-sized when nobody was actually going to use it.
