They will never fix this class im pretty sure, theres a good youtuber called 암색암색 that really kept me going on Demon Avenger, i think the only thing that really bothers its just overall a very sad 5th job. With low damage, not cool loking skills, and a absolutely garbage mechanic with Demon Frenzy, it really sucks that i enjoy this class for some reason and keep playing it when theres other 30 better classes.

For frenzy, when you are bossing, you want the skill to be at level 30, because the healing will then increase from 1% > 2%. If you are experienced enough in the boss fights, you can keep frenzy up for the whole fight for every boss up until normal Lotus and Damien (except for chaos Clown and hmag). In Lucid, both normal and hard, you can keep it up for the whole of p1 (and p2 with more difficulty) and in Will for p3. You just have to make sure to be constantly on top of the boss and have low exceed stacks.

Another thing to note is what nexon is trying NOT to do with freenzy and Demon Avenger. Their trying to not turn this into a game balance breaking bug of a class, that's why it's hard to use without caution and experience. If it was left in a more realistic fashion of how the skill would and should work in an actual world with magic, it'd be a totally game breaking bug of epic proportions. The real thing wouldn't be so suicidal. Requiring caution maybe and experience still, but for different reasons.

In real life, demonic frenzy would be a STAMINA draining move, not an HP(Health/Hit Point) draining move, hence it's non suicidal but rather resource intensive nature as an investment that pays off when an enemy lands in the blood pools to refill your fat/fuel reserves to replace the list blood and too up ones energy levels.

Wait holy shit, I've been maining this class since it's release and had no idea the healing reduction was increased to 2% at Lv30. I got the skill to Lv25 because of the %final damage boost being significantly higher, but legit didn't think it gave anything else meaningful past this breaking point. Also with Neo they're going to be buffing this skill quite a bit where it no longer drops our HP below 30%(or 70%?) the wording was very unclear.

Something to keep in mind is that flash jump was always viable for demons. My main is DA and I have a hard time turning off the glide. I'm so used to FJ the way demons do it that turning off glide confuses me. I actually find gliding useful in spirit saviour as well as for 2nd phase of lotus.

Double tapping the arrow key just never felt natural to me, probably because every other flash jump in the game is just double tap jump, so the change was massive for me. Glide is still insanely useful for bossing however. Bane makes that very apparent in their Black Mage clear, Glide has tons of utility in bossing, just not so much for mobbing.

@@Sacrix Yeah, I can see how people might have difficulty with it to begin with. After an hour or 2 of training that way though you get used to it. I guess the ability to turn it off is good for people who are only aiming for level 210 or below, or simply do not plan to do much bossing/Spirit Savior etc. Turning it off if you plan to do those things will slow you down since training is a more risk free time to get the muscle memory.

I have Demon Avenger as my second main in MapleSEA, and i agree that the mechanics are just weird/awful. The ridiculous part is that you absolutely need Demon Frenzy to be level 25 (30 enhanced) to get 2% HP regen per tick. Anything lower is 1% per tick, which matters alot! It dishes out a crap load of damage, and is really tanky as well because at max Demon Frenzy, your hp stays 100% most of the time, and can take OHKOs from Lotus truck, etc. I wish they would instead fix the scaling of Demon Frenzy instead of 1% sub level 30, to a gradual increase capping at 2% at level 30

DA is pretty easy to get to 200, but getting your first 200 always feels hard. Once you have a couple of link and legion skills stacked and get enough RP to just always train with 2x and Fury Totem whenever you feel like grinding something up quickly it goes by pretty fast... especially if you're used to 210+ leveling speeds.

Not sure how exactly demon frenzy works, but isnt it that you heal more than it consumes because you have more health? It only lets you heal for 1% and consumes 6k per second, so if the 1% is more than 6k thats when it should balance out right?

Character Building I procs when you get hit 100 times by mobs. Be that actually taking damage, or dodging the attacks, 100 times, within I think 1minute. (not sure on the window). It has an internal Cooldown as well, so it wont activate back to back for a short time.

PD4 is a really good place to train at i get like 30~32% on exp accumulation potion, gold pot, 2x coupons, exp legion and with zero link piece off a totem. Assuming you start with 100%~90% burning. i make like 400 mil an hour with WAP and legion wealth.

How many Nodestones do you open for each character that will go 250?

On Average, its about 1.2k nodes per 250. Some classes less, some, a lot more (BT / Hayato to name some bad apples). It's good practice early on, make a spreadsheet of all the boost nodes you need, and start making 'General Tri-node' instead of perfect tri-nodes. It's a lot less pleasant to look at, but it'll ensure you have every skill you need boosted, and save you a metric ton, of nodes.

Evan is very funding dependent. When all of your skills are able to one shot while mobbing, its quite honestly amazing in terms of map coverage, and clear speed. If you're not one shotting, it can be one of the most miserable things to grind out imo. Getting mine to 210 while 3-4 shotting was a harrowing experience. The class definitely shines late game, but its the early game struggle that makes you appreciate it all the more.

i think nexon wanted demon avenger to be sustain burst able to tank tons of stuff but the ability to out heal while tanking is so minimum. Nexon at the design bosses with low multi hits so demon avenger able to tank those. Over time the new bosses became complicated with tons multi hits which can out dps DA healing which make this class embarrassing bad. I am not if this intentional but you can use overload release any time by macroing overload release and the double slash (2nd Job). I use this to activate the full healing potential from demonic blood. Sometimes i feel like the tick dmg doesnt register all the healing potential due to nexon horrible ping.

Average is a month. Fastest was 13 days, slowest was 45. (208 technically, but I wasn't actively going for 250 all classes when I was training my Shadower, was more so playing Bera casually ). Everything else has been somewhere in the middle. Averaging pretty close to 29-30 days.

You can do it! Breaking grinding down into manageable chunks has served me much better than just brute forcing long sessions. Take it in small time increments, and it'll go by easier. a 30min coupon here and there with mvp will get you through those levels in no time. :>

The main problem still remains, that to get the most Final Damage out of it, you would need to be at low health tho. Just healing to full, to make use of puddles 24/7 would be nice, but its a lot of Final Damage being missed out on.

@@SacrixDA main here. Had my own little idea to keep the FD buff from Frenzy without the punishing drawbacks of being at low HP. Toggling on Frenzy would set your max HP to 1%. Basically if your max is 500k, which if you main DA you'll have, your max while Frenzy is on is 5k and every attack acts as if 5k is your max. 1 shots would hit 5K, 50%s 2.5k, etc. They could up the damage reduction from 30% to 50% or turn Demonic Blast into an i-frame and remove the charging mechanic while reducing the damage by 300%. Sure, people can say 10 seconds is a low cooldown for an i-frame, but for a class that uses its own HP for every skill and benefits from being at low HP, it's warranted. As for Dimensional Sword, doubling the damage % while the burst mode is active is a start maybe even changing the uptime from 1/3 to 1/2. Anyway those are my 10 cents having mained the class in KMS for a while now. Ideas like these are always being thrown around by KMS players but I doubt Nexon will ever follow through.

Don't fret, fury totem is available to all players through the rewards point shop. It's a 40% spawn boost totem that lasts for 2h. Not quite as good, but closes the gap a fair bit. You just want to tend towards medium sized maps instead of small ones.

The Nether Shield change was to their idle time. It used to be 10 seconds but it was nerfed to 2 due to KMS macroers. The hyper passive for +50 range helps the cast range but not re-target range.

Frenzy on and sitting on bosses is actually doable. In fact, not sitting on the boss with frenzy on is more dangerous. The true problem with frenzy is the final damage condition which contradicts the nature of the skill. Always being on the boss will grant you maximum HP in ideal dps situations (like say, a bind). Whoever designed the fifth job skills for DA hates DA. Seriously, what is Demonic Blast supposed to be? The instant cast is literally an inferior version of thousand blades. Smaller range, lower mob count, and higher cool down too? Not to mention, the charge blast is useless. You charge for 7 seconds to deal a meager 2.8x damage? Sure, full crit and full ied, but just 2.8x for 7 seconds of zero dps? Seriously, look at Adele, Hero, and Hayato. They have proper fifth job skill, not DA. Coming from someone who is training in reboot and struggling to get this guy to 210.

Demon Avenger for the longest time was the go-to botting class for KMS. So in a way, I understand why they were tentative on giving it a lot of really good stuff, but at the same time, yeah it sucks a lot for the actual legit players trying to find joy in this class. :x

​@@Sacrix Kind of crazy how botting continues to plague MS after 10+ years. Then again, I guess botting is pretty common in mmorpgs in general. I finally got my DA to 210 after spending multiple 2x legion cards, monster park potions, and wild totems. I do want to thank you for the 5th job skill advice, which helped a lot. I actually end up using Dimensional swords just for mobbing because it 1 shots mobs in reverse city.

Yeah. I hope they buff DA so I get the link skill without losing the brain cells. Literally, shit version of dual blade. Useless fifth job skills. And worst of all, your main mobbing skills are 2nd and 3rd job skills.
