This song right here is my absolute favorite. 7 years ago, to me, DH made the most prophetic song. In the end of it all, we all stand strong and survive believing in The Word and no matter the struggles, the squabs, the pain, the hurt, we mustn't lose sight of the light, survive, and pick each other up. The time of peace is coming soon! Happy Easter everyone! God bless Demon Hunter!! ❤

Best album I've listened to in a long while. I keep listening on repeat. The lyrics are rough, but truthful and completely sobering. Ryan admits to everyone he isn't perfect, we all leave God sometimes and realize where we've walked to and need to get back. We're all sinners and we all have our own journey.

Behind the Song: Ryan Clark: “I’ve written songs about friends losing their faith before. As it continues to be an unfortunate reality in my life, it remains a relevant subject. In this song I attempt a more sympathetic approach, understanding that many seasons in life can seem unforgiving. Slight, in a sense, means to reject. As I see it, in terms of keeping my own faith, the odds are stacked against me. But I would rather die with my faith intact than live to see it dwindle away. We knew that we wanted to add a string section to one of the songs on the record, but didn’t know which song until the very end. Slight the Odds became the clear choice with its cinematic-inspired opening riff. As we began to formulate a final track listing, it became all the more fitting that, as the closing track (to the standard album), we would end on an epic note." If this isn’t the REALIST thing ever. 😭✊🏼💔

The beginning is so lovely, and the oncoming drums that fade in are just so powerful. I love how there's a sort of "call to action" in this song, with the chorus of singers that come in at certain points, it's like being prepared to battle the worst. Also, amazing camera work towards the end of this video, bringing everything we saw back into this video, cutting to black to express the absolute important message and finishing it off with a colored shot...very artistic, brimming with expressionism! Very nice! Patience, One Step Behind, Raining Down, The End, and Died in my Sleep are my favorites, but this song is an absolute LOVE! DH, you guys made another spectacular album!

The perseverance of the saints. Pray to continue to the end! Pray the rosary and Jesus's mom Mary will help you meet Him. The fruit of the fifth sorrowful mystery
@dyerseve074 жыл бұрын
@@Brother_Augustine Praying the rosary is NOT scripture, Mary is dead and can do NOTHING for you. The ONLY way to the Father is through Jesus (John 14:6) and there is NO OTHER mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). Please be careful what you share with others, especially nonbelievers, if it goes against scripture. For you will be held accountable one day for how you shared God's Word (Galatians 1:6-10 , Acts 20:29 , Isaiah 5:20 , Colossians 2:8 , 1 Timothy 4:1) Man made customs are NOT the proper way to build a relationship with God, through Jesus, His son. I share this correction (1 Timothy 3:16-17) with love (Ephesians 4:29) to lift you up that you may search the scriptures to see whether they are so as I have used them to lovingly correct your words. Look up the words of the Word I have shared and compare them with what you are sharing.
