Really strong lobby, but yeah, as Kripp pointed out, if even one less opponent was running Dragons, there may have been enough power in one of their builds when not split up between 3 players to beat him.

Some dude asked how the murloc trick works and then deleted the comment after I had already typed this reply, so I'm putting it here: The Hero Power (and every similar effect in constructed) consider temporary buffs as the base stats, so if something is a 1/1 but it has a +2 attack aura on it, the hero power pretends it's actually a 3/1 and copies those stats and makes them the base stats of the minion. Ironically, the new dragon that doubles its attack doesn't work like this for some reason. If you are playing Deathwing (who has the +2 attack to ALL minions passive hero power), play the new dragon, and then tavern up, the attack of the dragon will double, but it wont get the hero power buff again. i.e. if you play it as a 1/3, it gets +2 attack from hero power and becomes a 3/3, and then when you hero power it becomes a 6/3. This makes zero sense, because the doubling counts the +2, (otherwise it would have doubled to 2), but it doesn't apply the passive buff again, (otherwise it would have gained +2 and become an 8/3.) It’s attack is probably calculated by a formula like (Base atk + 2) * 2 And the game considers it already got the buff from DW hero power so it doesn’t apply again If you swap stats with another minion it should apply the +2 buff again

Just thought, what if as voljin you flipped the stats with a minion in the tavern at the end of your turn, not buying it... then the demons would eat it, gain double the stats, repeat until you double double double double infinity stats?

Honestly Vol'Jin made this possible : full on demons just scale better but have no effects on minions, so flipping their gigantic stats onto a windfury elemental really did the trick. Wonder if sticking to that golden Ur'zul would've won you the game?

elemental demons menagerie is good, can attest to it. if you find yourself in a lobby where both are in, i highly recommend it. its really fun, some heroes are way better for the build like millhouse for example. an even weirder combo is the ele - demon - pirate menagerie with hogger for infinite juice, very hard to play tho and even harder to hit, only pulled it off once.

@@vilxxblack2472 If you are being 100% serious, like you just started watching on this channel and don't know Battlegrounds, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't know about what 'pretzels' means here. There are two achievements you get in this mode called "Pretzel Mustard" and "Spicy Pretzel Mustard", with the normal one being that you get in 1st place without losing a single round of Battlegrounds (you can tie and can take self damage, just don't get hit), and Spicy being winning every round of Battlegrounds and getting in 1st (can't tie at all but can still take self damage). @ExiqGuardian is saying that they managed to get a perfect game with one of the characters and a demon build.

PICTURE THIS: Krip swapped his stats onto a minion in the tavern and when his golden demon took it in at the end of the turn, it grew double the original stats. There is waaaaaaay more growth potential in this build, especially with this hero

How did the murlocs gain attack at every swap? Am I missing something?

The hero power takes a 'snapshot' of the minion's current stat, which includes its +attack buff for every other murloc on the board. So when you Vol'Jin swap it with another murloc, that boosted attack becomes a permanent stat to the other minion, while the previous stat from the other minion is now boosted with the +attack passive on top of it again. ... kinda confusing.

Number of misplays this game are just insane. Having golden Felbat or the tier 5 one as Vol'Jin is almost insta win once u use ur brain. They gain DOUBLE the stats of devoured minion, and ur hp swaps stats. Hmmmm. U can literally double the stats of ur minion of choice every turn. But nah, let's keep chargla for +6/6 a turn and never utilize hp properly....

bra demons are broken now, yesterday i left mid game (had some stuff to do) i just got a felbat and a don with poison there were 6 people still in the game i came back 5 turns later had 17 hp hand full of demons .won the game against a guy with divine shield dragons my golden felbat at the end was a 98/179 and won as Lord Barov

Really terrible play by Kripp here. Not only did he sell a massive stat generator that has insane synergy with Vol'jin for pretty much no reason, he never utlized the interaction of swapping massive stats with a tavern minion so it can be consumed for double the stats. Instead of playing a weak managerie, Kripp could have focused on demons with a couple of crackling cyclones. He could have easily had 300/300 stats on his minions by the end of the game.
