Demon's Souls - Flamelurker cheese skip using bow

What do you do exactly? Aim while entering fog gate at an angle?

Steps are: - Enter Flamelurker arena - Save quit - Reload, you will be outside the fog gate - Follow the video, that would be equipping the bow, go to the limit of rock and fog, press X to enter and quickly use the L2 to aim the bow on FPS style. You should feel that you are entering the arena slightly through the stone wall for a while, but ending on the regular arena. If Flamelurker moves, just save quit and repeat again, totally worth it if you dont have a build to take him fast enough.

@@pedroguaturathanks a lot.. still works.. one tip: when you do x and enter wall, quickly do L2, the character might see towards flamelurker but use joystick and see and walk towards wall or else flamelurker does not get stuck..

29/08/2024 can confirm still works. Make sure you don’t continue to walk into the wall as you enter the fog against the all otherwise it skips you up into the ceiling/wall.

Still working on July 2024. You need a bow. Enter the arena and watch/skip the cutscene. Save and quit. Load. Equip your bow, get the location he enters the arena, press X and immediately hold L2 to aim.

The first encounter may happen this way. Quit and reload, so you'd be in front of the fog gate and try a second time.

DO NOT use the Bow first to enter the boss arena and then Quit/Save. I am stuck inside the wall and cannot get out. Grrrrrr..... If I quit and load the last save, I am still inside the wall. I think I am totally screwed and will have to start a New Game to get out of the wall. Looks like I just lost 53 hours of game play. 😞 Update: Fortunately I had an Archstone and was able to return to the Nexus and keep my Souls. I will now have to fight my way back to Flamelurker's arena and this time, go into the arena first and then Save/Quit. Hopefully I will not get stuck in the wall again.

Success!!!! I followed the instructions from Pedro: - Enter the Fog as if you were going to melee Flamerlurker and wait until the cut scene stops - Quit and Save - I went in on the left side wall because when I went in the right side, I got trapped in the wall - I equipped the bow - I pointing toward the left wall at the fog, I pressed X and then immediately pressed L1 - I went into the wall, but this time, I turned to move me toward Flameluker - At first, I thought I was trapped in the wall again because I could not move toward Flamelurker - The Fog was gone but this time there was a X at the bottom of the screen with a message to press X to enter the fog - Flamelurker did not move and i moved close to Melee him. Flamelurker did not have a health bar but each time I hit him, I did see he was taking damage. - Eventually, he was destroyed. Thanks Pedro! I am a new player and I know I would have died multiple times. I am doing a cheat of my own since this is the first Souls game I have played. I turned off the console automatically sending data/file updates to the cloud. I will quit and save, and manually upload to the cloud. If I die, I can download the data file from the cloud to my PS5. As I get stronger and learn the combat mechanics, I will change it so it automatically updates the cloud.

I beat Flamelurker... *on the FIRST try!* i $#1t you not! As i write this, i'm on my very first playthrough - i chose the Wanderer class. I went in as a human (meaning space for 1 more ring. in Soul form, as you know, you'll need the Cling Ring), Leather Cap, Coat of Plates, Plate Gauntlets, Hard Leather Boots, Broadsword +8, Compound Short Bow +7 (only fired 1 shot), Ring of Great Strength, Purple Flame Shield +4 and Flame Resistance Ring. Before him came Tower Knight, Armoured Spider (also first try!), Fool's Idol and Adjudicator (on the 2nd attempt). Now i have a brand new Lava Bow! i expected to die repeatedly... but no! The Purple Flame Shield and the Flame Resistance Ring work like a freaking *charm!*
