Actually in the KNY world that makes no sense and is too easy an explanation imo for a show that has such deep meanings hidden all throughout every episode. If you kill humans, in the KNY world you go to hell. Even Rui was not spared and his parents chose to follow him to hell just to be together with him since they loved him. Just like Daki with Gyutaro. Also, Tengen eluded to that about himself even though his circumstances were slightly different. Many fans here in Japan were questioning why only Daki was in human form and had the choice to go to the light while Gyutaro was still in demon form and could only accept his fate to go to hell. Since Daki had killed plenty of humans as well she should also have been condemned to go to hell too. The only explanation that makes sense is that Gyutaro made the choice to accept all the blame and punishment, including his sisters share. And that lines up with how Gyutaro felt towards his sister. Until death and even to hell he was steadfast in protecting her even at a cost to himself, just how he lived when they were both alive. When it comes to being a good brother and loving their sisters, both Tanjiro and Gyutaro are exactly the same, just different circumstances and paths. Tanjiro had Giyu to help and guide him to the light when he needed someone. Gyutaro had the Upper Six "help" him when he needed someone. Both beautiful and so tragic at the same time😭

From what Tengen said, I believe he meant that Tanjiro was on his way toward becoming a Hashira. I don’t think he meant he’d become Hashira, because you saw that there was a big difference between Tanjiro (and the other boys) and Tengen’s abilities. Just because there is a vacancy doesn’t mean they’ll fill the vacancy with just anyone, whether it’s for Hashira or Twelve Kizuki. Remember that Muzan killed the Lower Moons, so it’s easy to imagine that the next available demon would be even weaker than the Lower Moons, so I don’t think Muzan would just let a weak demon into the ranks of the Upper Moons.

@@wrexgrafix84 it depends on the context, if let’s say you 2v1 a twelve kizuki and you win, but knowing that even if it was a 1v1 you can hold your own REALLLY well and possibly win still, you can be a hashira. In this case tanjiro would’ve gotten killed before he was able to wield his sword, remember during the beginning of the fight between tengen and gyutaro and tengen had to push tanjiro out of the way so he won’t get killed? Yea he’s definitely not hashira level yet

Why did Gyutaro emerge from Daki's back? I thought his strange emerge method had some meaning. He is usually hiding on Daki's back. He only appears from her back when she is in danger. It wasn't hiding.He would had protected Daki as hug her from her back. Yes, that form is the same as the young two the day they were wrapped in straw clothes.And The day Gyutaro promised to Daki. This scene never leaves my head. Since then, I don't hate this brothers anymore. Gyutaro is the best sister-oriented brother, and Daki is a cute little sister who is always anxious for her brother. The only happiness left for two is to be able to with them even they die. The demon that I like best is this brothers.Gyutaro is Cool!

Lol no he wouldn't have. At this point in time not one Hashira had undergone the Hashira training that suited them for the U3 to U1 and Muzan battles. He's officially ranked by the author slower than Tengen and isn't resistant to poison. I don't think I need to explain the rest.

@@Zarathos0987, Obanai would’ve beaten Gyutaro and Daki even without the help of Tanjiro and the gang There is a misconception around the condition killing Gyutaro and Daki , people seem to assume that you need more than 2 people present that need to cut both of their heads off at the same time and this isn’t true. You can cut one off their heads off first and then go for the other one and that won’t be difficult for Hashira’s except for Tengen and Shinobu ( Although the demon would still have some control of their body it wouldn’t be anything , they would be really weakened) Gyutaro and Daki are also not UM4 Level they are ranked correctly , though they are more deadly to fight for humans Many people have the idea that Tengen is the fastest Hashira because of the ranking in the databooks However , it clearly states Fastest ‘Running’ Pillar and not the fastest in terms of combat speed , which involves attack speed , evasion speed , reaction time and reflexes etc , all of which the other Hashira scale above Tengen as they have better feats. Mitsuri whom , in that databook was said to be the ‘slowest’ pillar was literally stated to be faster than Tengen Uzui even when she didn’t have a mark. Tengen is also only relative to UM6 in speed and the other Hashira have better feats than that on higher UMs. Obanai was shown being able to blitz *Muzan* on many occasions ( albeit weakened ) and was outperforming Gyomei , Sanemi , Giyuu and Tanjiro who could keep up with Akaza and Koku. He also had acquired The Mark as well as the Red Blade on his own and had gained access to the STW Obanai has some crazy durability , being able to fight even though his whole body was battered and wounded and he only had feeling in his hand on top of that he was able to fight whilst blinded even before receiving Yushiro’s Paper Obanai’s Serpent Breathing Techniques will also pose a big problem for Gyutaro and Daki because of the swordsplay involved and the constant meandering of the blade as well the indirect attack styles of Serpent Breathing it will be extremely difficult for Gyu and Daki to predict and defend against his attack and it wouldn’t even be surprising if they got their heads cut off without realising it , Obanai was shown almost being able cut Muzan’s head off as well as being able to cut off both of Muzan’s arms in a *SINGLE* strike.

i cannot even be mad with Gyutaro to choose to become demon for next recarnation, because clearly humans or gods are NOWHERE to be found helping them, then here's demon in front of them giving them a chance of better life (i would do the same). both tanjiro-nezuko and gyutaro-ume have same amount of love for their sibling, they both came from lowest class family, the difference were situation and environment they grew up on. also humans killed by demons resulting demon-slayers, but humans killed by humans creating demons. the reason why it's so emotional because it's relatable and for some degree irl some ppl do struggle for their lives like this... even tho not actually mystical aspect but ANALOG to criminalism/capitalism vs. activism/justice

Amazing episode! Incredible how much emotion they can make you feel about even the antagonists. Honestly, Demon Slayer is, without exaggeration, one of the best animes ever created - so huge thanks to the creator Koyoharu Gotouge. I dont really know what else I can say. I dont know if you guys are looking for recommendations for future anime reactions, but I highly, HIGHLY, recommend the very popular and very well reviewed "Haikyuu!" It's probably the best or one of the best sports (volleyball) anime. This may sound too good to be true but this anime has it all: amazing characters (especially the MC), great plot, great story, the episodes are exciting and just flow, the matches are tense, a lot of twists and turns and they get you PUMPED! It's also extremely funny, and all of that makes it super popular If you're looking for something after Demon Slayer this really is the one to choose, ultimate feel good, entertaining, enjoyable anime!

DAKI and GYUTARO's fathers are probably not the same. Brothers with different fathers. The two mothers died of natural causes of the venereal disease "Syphilis". Flies are gathering in the first scene of GYUTARO's Back Story shortly after DAKI's neck disappears, but it's probably the corpse of his dead mother. Even after he died, GYUTARO couldn't handle it, and he probably left it for a while. "Syphilis" is the Japanese name for "BAIDOKU" and is written as "Plum poison". The real name of DAKI is "UME". "UME" is "Plum" in English. Her real name, UME, comes from "Plum poison" = "Syphilis". GYUTARO's lean body, ugliness and black bruises are also mainly due to her mother's "Syphilis". UME was ridiculed by a bad samurai about GYUTARO, and she struck her samurai's eyes with anger. GYUTARO and DAKI were at the fork between heaven and hell. At first, Gyutaro didn't try to stay with DAKI because he realized that DAKI could go to heaven. Because DAKI didn't kill people when she was a human UME. Gyutaro remains in the form of a demon, but DAKI returns to the form of a human and is on the side of the light. It must have been given by God as the only salvation to UME, who was burned to death when he was young. That's why GYUTARO shouted, "Go in the bright direction on the other side," and tried to send DAKI to heaven. But DAKI chose to go to hell with GYUTARO. That's really a good ending for all both for the demon slayer corp and the upper six demons. The demon slayers won and killed the demons they will go home victorious despite their damage and opens up a door of hope for defeating the demon king of pop muzan, and for the demons though no one can ever forgive them for everything that they did and maybe deserving to go to hell but the good thing about it is they still got each other before entering hell atleast they return for what they really are, a loving siblings and not the monsters they become.

The VA for daki was beautiful imo Edit: imo retiring was his best option bc his whole style depends on two swords so his capabilities are heavily decreased on top of that he lost an eye too, so even if he figures out a musical score for the next upper moon he won't be as effective. Tanjiro is super weak right now when compared to hashiras. Tengen meant he has the potential. They won't just go on and make anyone a hashira if there is a vacant spot

The rules of the demon slayer core state that you can become a Hashira after 50 demon kills or the elimination of a 12 moon. Even then you’re only Hashira level you don’t necessarily get the title unless the Master gives you it. Besides this fight with upper moon 6 was ultimately an 8 on 2 with Tengen, his wives, Tanjiro and his team vs Daki and Gyutaro so I’m not sure the rule applies in that case.

To become a Hashira, a demon slayer must either kill 50 demons or a member of Twelve Kizuki as a Kinoe. Kinoe is the 1st rank of the demon slayer corp's ranking before becoming a Hashira. Tanjiro is ranked as Kanoe, which is the 7th rank. So he can't be a Hashira and he's currently nowhere near Hashira level.

Ume actually means "plum." Unfortunately, Syphilis is named "plum poison" in Japanese (because the plum-mark showed up on the body of a sick person). That's why Gyutaro said his sister got her name from the disease that killed their mother. Actually, Ume is not the bad name, but it seems to be bad for Gyutaro due to his context.

Out of the nine Hashira, Obanai is the third or fourth strongest while Tengen is only rated as stronger than Shinobu. Fun fact: Shinobu said "one Upper Demon = two Hashira". Ss3 will be released in early 2023

I really understand their decision of turning into demons, if Tanjiro could become a demon slayer after his family was slaughtered by one why shouldn't they become demons (human slayers if you will lol) when they were abused all their lives, burned and killed by humans!
