Akaza is actually one of Muzan's favorite demons. But because Muzan knows Azaka takes pride in his strength and ability, he doesn't give him praise in order to get him to work harder. When the Lower Moons fail, he pretty much annihilated them all at once. But when Akaza "fails", Muzan's response is essentially, "I know you can do better".

Actually the more you consume all the demon slayer media especially the ones centered on the Rengokus you'd understand its better for Senjuro no longer pick up the sword. Kyojuro's death actually frees the father and the son from being under years of generational pressure of being a hashira. Interestingly that their surname means "Purgatory" and when broken down could also mean as "cage". His death teaches the surviving family members to pick themselves up and love themselves more; to realize that there's more to life than just living the way of the sword. It prevents Senjuro from becoming demon fodder too. In the mugen train CD drama, it was explained that Shinjuro's depression is really really off the rails and Kyojuro constantly worries for the two since he's always on missions and his relationship w/ his dad makes it hard for him at home but he stays strong for the lil bro who is most of the time alone as well. Every time Kyojuro heads home, the lil bro would show him his "developments" in his skills yet they both knew especially Senjuro that he doesn't have the talent of the sword and constantly be hard on himself. Kyojuro still encourages him to practice yet reminds him that one should not narrow their view, that helping people is not limited to being a hashira / living the path of the sword and whatever senjuro chooses to be, big bro will always be there to support him.

What's crazy about this episode is that the demon Tanjiro killed couldn't touch him. It was like watching the hand demon being chased by Urokodaki. Tanjiro has a long way to go before he's a hashira, but as of right now, him and the other two are head and shoulders above the fodder of the corps. Like, if you're a basic ass demon (or even a strong lower moon like Enmu) going up against Tanjiro, you're pretty fucked. The issue is, the Upper moons are catastrophically busted compared to the lower moons.

Well to be fair enmu would've killed tanjiro or rather tanjiro would've killed himself when he fused with the train and was constantly putting tanjiro to sleep, if inosuke hadn't stopped him.

They aren't the same age exactly, that's why Senjuro is so small, I presume, because his genetics should make him averagely tall, if you look at his father and older brother. Senjuro is 12, Tanjirou is 15 and Kyojuro was 20 when he died. For the comment on how Tanjirou got his sword after two years, with Senjuro in mind: Yes, but he underwent his first-ever sword training and then got his own sword, which changed color. If anything, we can see that his skills are well-formed. Normally, I think most Demon Slayers only get their first sword after the Final Selection, but there's families like the Rengoku-Clan that bring forth Demon Slayers without fail and Pillars (the Flamepillar) at that. Which means they are trained from when they are able to hold a wooden sword and, of course, they would probably get a Sun Sword to hold onto to check. There were a lot of Lower Ranking Demon Slayers on Mt. Natagumo, if you remember, they were all pretty weak and their Sun Swords didn't change color. Remember how they were probably like Murata, Kanoe (Rank 6), so not even Mizunoto, yet Tanjirou's strength (brought on by the Water Breathing) was mind-boggling to the girl that was front and center when they were on their way to "Mother". Also, remember how "good" Tanjirou seemed to be, prior to training and what would have happened, had his hatched been made out of the same steel as a Sun Sword? Remember how he did well in the training, too? If he hadn't happened to be under Urokodaki, who's too warmhearted for this world and couldn't bear to see another child die on his watch, eventhough dying is second nature to Demon Slayers, he wouldn't have had to do something crazy like cutting Boulders right off the bat. Compared to others, he was seriously overpowered. If you think about it, you also noticed the angry-guy from the Final Selection was the Tsuguko of Gyoumei. Kanao is Shinobu's Tsuguko. Zenitsu is basically also a Tsuguko, even if he wasn't dubbed one, of the former Thunder Pillar. Inosuke is Inosuke. And then, in comes Tanjirou, the only one who wasn't a known prodigy, raised under the strict hands of a Pillar, though actually he was without knowing (I'm sure he didn't know, as he heard of Urokodaki being a former Pillar at the same meeting he even found out that Pillars are a thing and what it means to hold that title). They all came out of environments that would only send them in if they were actually ready, even if Zenitsu didn't understand the decision. But we don't know how other trainers do their thing, maybe they think it's good enough if they can do what Tanjirou could, but they didn't really know how to do things. Like when Tanjirou learned Constant Breathing, which Kanao already did, which means she learned it prior to the Final Selection. I mean, it's not even that long ago, since Final Selection took place. He healed for about 2 weeks, when the sword came in on the 15. day, he also got his first mission. He went and maybe took a day traveling, if push comes to shove, maybe 2. Then he got rid of the demon in the same night of the day he arrived and traveled on to Asakusa. He wrapped up business in one night yet again. Let's say he spent more time, since Tamayo healed him off screen, but then, let's say 22 days since Final Selection. Right on to the next mission, he cleared it again right away, came down the mountain to rest. Let's say he stayed there for 4 Weeks, which would seem too long, but they had to heal broken ribs? That normally takes about 6 weeks, but back in the day, if it didn't hurt as much, you were good to go and I think they do have sturdy bodies and the Breathing Techniques may help. I don't actually think they spent 4 weeks at the granny's mansion, but let's be nice and add some time. So 50 days in total. Mt. Natagumo now, maybe half a day of traveling, arrival at nighttime, one night of fun and about 5 weeks of rest again (because you remember how Zenitsu cried about having to take the bitter medicine every day for 5 weeks). 85 days in total now. Mugen Train, maybe two days with Traveling, 87 days, plus 4 months of rest after that I think. Those 4 months basically doubled all the time spent before. So when Uzui shows up, they are about 8 months in after the Selection? LOL. I wanted to say something entirely different, just about how they haven't even done that much but are that strong, which is by no means the standard, as we have seen with all the other weaker Demon Slayers. But to be honest, I hate my head, I want to see it on the anime first, since I saw the first episode and was totally smitten, I stopped reading the Manga - Yet I still collect them, of course. Since I read them once I've seen it. So, that means what you think it means: I haven't read any of the Demon Slayer books on my shelf since shortly after the Entertainment District Arc was over. I want to know what happens, since I know that Demon Slayer ends with 23 volumes. There's so much that has yet to happen, even without knowing one can see that. And if you look at how the time flows, I think this doesn't move on fast enough. I kind of get the feeling we will be time-skipped out of our minds in this story. Which doesn't make it bad as a premise, I just hope they don't overdo it or if they do, that they do it well.
