There are so many interesting parallels between Muzan and Kagaya Ubuyashiki that I loved during this episode (and also throughout the whole series): 1. Both suffered from an illness that could shorten their lives, but each reacted to it in completely different ways: Muzan began to fear death and seek immortality, while Kagaya began to value life and also seek immortality, albeit in a very different way! 2. Although they both come from the same clan, have a similar backstory, and are leaders of their own groups, they can't be any more different: Kagaya has the love and respect of his Hashira, while Muzan has the fear of his demons. 3. It's sad but very interesting how Ubuyashiki clan had to pay for Muzan's sins. Muzan, the evil, lived an easy life for thousands of years, while his innocent descendants had to pay instead of him. A cruel, unfair fate. 4. I love how Kagaya basically told Muzan that, "your death would change everything, and mine wouldn't." 5. Interesting how the opening for this season is like Kagaya's POV and ending is Muzan's, though even the ending still has Kagaya's way of thinking in it "the light that will eventually rule the sky." Even in the realm of evil, good still wins.

Then they show the first half of the episode (which ends with the manga illustration of the Ubuyashiki family), then a bunch of commercials, then the 2nd half of the show, then commercials, then after credits, commercials, then an announcement about the coming movies. (Actually, I just watched the streamed version instead of from the TV, so what I wrote above may not be 100% accurate… but it’s typical of normal episodes.) That’s why sometimes it’s very jarring when they go to a Taisho Secret or a Kimetsu Academy short, especially after a horrifying, sad, or dramatic ending (like when Daki swooped up Zenitsu in Season 2)… in Japan, if you were watching TV, you’d have time to process what happened before they go to the lighthearted after credits thanks to several TV commercials playing in between.
