Recently have been very busy which is why I haven't uploaded in a while, but today I decided to share with you my original track I made for a character from Demon Slayer known as Kokushibō.
A 3rd season is inevitable for a series as popular as this one, and Kokushibo happens to have one of my favorite backstories and fights in the entire manga!

That’s if this series doesn’t get a studio switch, which I’m honestly expecting at this point. One-Punch Man season 1 and Seven Deadly sins season 2 broke the Internet as well, but just look at what happened when their subsequent seasons began airing. If legendary shows like those were ruined, I’m not very optimistic about Demon Slayer. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am. Lately, it seems like whenever a series has an incredible, groundbreaking debut or first few seasons, some shitty studio ends up getting ahold of it with their dirty paws, and it’s ruined forever-never to be remade by a studio that’s actually worthwhile because “it’s already been done”. I’ve always believed that if a good manga can’t be made into a good season, whether it be the debut season or the sequels, it shouldn’t be made at all. I hate whenever an honest to god gem of a show isn’t done justice. It’s a mockery of the author as well as a letdown for all of his/her fans.

In akaza's case you would feel bad for him cus of his backstory. Doma noone feels bad for him. Imo kokushibo is a character i feel bad for but at the same time i don't. I see him as the only demon who isn't manipulated by muzan but a villain blinded by hatred and jealousy which is why i think upper 1 is such an interesting character

@@pratik4833 Yeah he was scarier than Muzan, however I feel like Akaza had the most potential out of all moons, without killing eating women (lets just say around 20% more effective than eating men, and easily half a demons diet) he managed to become UP 3 (I personally believe he was stronger than Douma) and after that REGREW his head without deformity, ofc he died but he pretty much killed himself. A unit.

I believe one of the reasons Kokushibou is one most favorites is due to his dignified nature, His whole demeanor is Strength, Hierarchy and Benevolence, He barely shows any emotion, He simply says what is abouslute and moves on, No horns but his extra pair of eyes makes him more then just some demon.

Kokushibou might not be stronger, but in fear factor and looks, he is scary and would send chills through your spine. His backstory is epic and buildup is perfect. The fact that he is brother of the strongest demon slayer.... is enough to tell you how much potential he has. Muzan just looks like a human. And his attacks will kill you instantly. Not so terrifying right? Well this guy is tall, huge and has six creepy eyes. He kills you slowly one you're weakened. His aura is intimidating. A TRUE DEMON indeed

That's just my guess tho so u might be right. It would be nice tho if they could fit Swordsmith Village Arc in S2 but idk how the pacing will be. Cause I imagine s3 to be SV arc and Hashira Training that will end with Ubuyashiki's death or Muzan and Ubuyashiki meeting so if SV will be on s2 then I wonder how s3 will end with the Infinity Fortress... Okay, humour me for a moment, imagine this: Imagine, all of Demon Slayer but Muzan and Kokushibo’s roles are switched. Here’s one way I think it would turn out: Tanjiro comes home, sees his family slaughtered by Muzan still, vows revenge and stuff Then, he meets Muzan at the city and mistakes him for the big bad and it’s left that way for a good chunk of the series, confused as to how Muzan can imbue others to be demons but later revealed to be him giving some of Kokushibo’s blood, NOT Muzan’s Everything else continues as normal up until after the Mugen Train arc, when Muzan is still talking to Akaza, but he mentions the grand master, the master of the moon, Kokushibo, and the audience starts to wonder if Muzan really is the big bad At the Upper Moon meeting, we’re finally introduced to him in a similar reveal, but Muzan is less powerful and Kokushibo still cuts off Akaza’s arms, now with him taking Gyokko’s head as well, just talking slower lol Nothing much changes until Infinity fortress arc. Firstly, Kokushibo’s connection to the Ubuyashiki family can that they are similarly descendants of him, like Muichiro and the Tokito clan, just a different branch. Same ambush happens and same situations happen up until the normal Kokushibo fight area. The Hashira face off against Muzan who goes into his tentacle form against Gyomei and company, but he reveals that Kokushibo is the real boss and that he’s in the fortress hunting the Hashira himself. Same amount of deaths and same people too You can put Kokushibo’s role from here on same as Muzan’s, but difference being the fact that after Muzan dies, the Hashira warn everybody that their suspicions as to a more powerful demon were correct using either crows or Yushiro’s ability (either or work). From then on his role can mostly fit as Muzan but the interesting part would be his connection to Yoriichi Say this: In an effort to get stronger than his younger brother, out of jealousy, he creates the breath of the moon, but it’s still not enough, and out of desperation, he gets poisoned by a blue spider lily plant and consults doctors and physicians from across Japan to help heal him, but to no avail He eventually comes to terms with his monstrous new form, and begins to create demons left and right, one of the first being Tamayo in this fan timeline. The childhoods stay the same and the final duel stays the same, with Yorichii ultimately only just barely failing to kill Kokushibo Idk, this is just a fan theory I had, hope you enjoyed it, ask any questions you have in the reply box (PS: sorry it was really long!!)

Spoiler: I consider Kokushibou to be the best villain right behind Akaza. Had a massive inferiority complex to his brother, and he ended up becoming a demon to surpass his brother and stay in his prime. He realized Yoriichi was still leagues ahead of him even as a demon, and he killed his brother with hate in his heart. Once he realized the severity of his actions, he died with regret and self-loathing. When you think about it, Kokushibou is a great representation of the sin of envy.

I consider him above Akaza tbh, his story has more depth and interesting twists than Akaza's, while Akaza's is a tragedy, I personally see Kokushibou as more overall better, while Akaza got fucked up by the universe and what happened to him is truly sad, Kokushibou is where he is thanks to the decisions he took and only the decisions he took. But I can see people liking Akaza more too.

@@kaled20001 That's an understandable approach. It does show how people truly make rash decisions in the heat of the moment. It was not until his death we see that Michikatsu was a human that made mistakes. When he realized his mistake he saw that he was 400 years too late, so he did the only think he could do to atone. I think his story greatly represents human flaw, and it makes it hard to decide which character is a better villain.

What I love about him and makes me really apreciate Gotouge's work overall, is that his design is perhaps the most plain ironic depiction of his situation. When he was first introduced, I bet that the majority of readers thought his multiple eyes were his Blood Demon Art. But it was simple yet went deeper the more you learn about him. The number of eyes was the result of how his demon nature reacted to his philosophy. It's like someone thinking that if they squint their eyes more and more they'll eventually see air. Kokushibou was only able to see and apreciate the tangible, but he was utterly blind to the intangible.

Something I like so much about Kokushibo is the fact he, such majestic and powerful being, didn't get killed by main characters. A kind of 5vs1 duel was worth for all them to shine, that is so kind from their manga, as something like this monster in a shounen most be defeated by a team of protagonist or the most powerful at least.

When I see Muzan I see a man who desperately wants to eliminate all threats to himself to survive, a creature with one goal alone. But when I see Kokushibo, I see a man who desperately tries to convince himself of his own strength, hiding the jealousy of always being inferior to another person behind his eyes. A person who, once upon a time, remembered what honor and dignity looked like, but has been clouded by centuries of envy and hatred. A person who, in his dying moments, finally remembered the purpose of his pursuit for power, his inferiority complex, and his jealousy for his younger brother, who was from head to toe a genius. Overall I think Kokushibo was written deeper than Muzan was, and was more fit to be the main antagonist. He would have the perfect reason to wipe out the demon slayers for the reason of the urge to destroy Yoriichi's legacy out of spite and envy.

If i were the author, i would make Kokushibo the Final Boss. Like, Muzan is dying, but he reveals that he is not the actual strongest Oni, and the plot twist is that Kokushibo is his wild card. And then he enters the battle (in this version he haven't faced Sanemi and his team), and all the energy of the scene just screams: "yeah you're fucked."
