Yes!!!! A honest review! Just saw it and wow, a big let down. Basically rewatching the last episode and then a new episode?!?! PLUS, how many introductions did they make?!? I agree just wait for the new season

They were clear in information the fans of the format. I knew that it would be the last episode of the previous arc in addition to a new episode for the upcoming arc almost immediately after the movie was announced. I guess you didn’t do your research.

Nephew wanted to watch it so I took him I was honestly pissed at the disrespect for our time. Take the recap stuff out and you have one action scene and them recovering in the hospital while while some npcs get training. Like 30 something minutes of new stuff.

With all do respect. It was marketed as a special showing or showcase. Just like the start of last season they were very clear and honest with what they said it was going to be. They said it was the last hour of swordsman village arc plus a 1 hour special of the new season that’s coming. I don’t understand the confusion. Also, the next arc is extremely short and so a lot of people are saying they should have made it into a movie like mugen train. But that also would have sucked because in this next really short arc there is no clear antagonist, it’s just literally training and more lore into some of the hashira that haven’t gotten as much screen time. I’m excited to see what they do with this next season. Personally I hope they combine the hashira training arc with some of the infinity castle arc, but we’ll see

Personally, I enjoyed it. The cinema I went to was very transparent that this was not a movie, so I wasn't disappointed. It helped that tickets were cheap for a 4DX "movie". I haven't rewatched Demon Slayer in a while, so the short AMV-style recap of each Arc was welcome. Also, I love their animation quality, so I had a blast watching everything unfold on the big screen. Helps that I am a fairly new fan who hasn't watched their other "movies"

I knew what I was getting into going into it. The problem is that the first episode of the new season was a bit of a let down for a first episode of the season, to me it would have worked better as a second or third episode. That's why it feels like a letdown.

It felt like art coming to life especially seeing the new hashira move with the swords. I loved how especially seeing it in an XL theater the strokes of color just taking over the wall. It was great

my husband and I just returned from the movie and you echo us 💯. They should've expanded and fleshed out the new scenes without adding extra plot if they knew they were saving the story for next season.

Yesterday I went to see the movie, and I was very dissapointed. I remeber walking out of the theater with my friend, mad about th elack of content. TBH, i thought that it would just be the full hashira training arc and I wouldn't mind that. a perfect calm before the strom. However, we see a 2 minute montage at the where is shows us sanemi vs giyu and done. Genuinlly dissapointed. Don't watch this movie, at least in theaters. Wait for the season to come out, it will be much more worthwhile.
