yo i am in no way defending chet HOWEVER this is also a demon1 problem, has same playstyle (and the problems that come along with it) as yay obviously chet could have utilized him way better however the problem with this nrg squad has always been the lack of an igl these moves just make sense, you need fns cus u need an igl, fns and s0m are packaged deal and some plays controller - you drop your controller player (marved) to replace him with s0m. they drop demon1 for fns because the team needs a raze player and that’s victor, demon1 doesn’t play initiator so you can’t drop either crashies or ethan for him

In my opinion, if demon1's personal life can be resolved whenever. I think moving away from victor can be a choice, i like how suitable demon1 and s0m is. Demon1 can be the jett/brim, meanwhile s0m can be the raze/smokes guy. This way the raze problem is effectively solved with bringing s0m in, and the smokes can 100% be covered by demon1 anytime jett is not used.

I just think the whole thing is extremely goofy. No disrespect to s0m or FNS but they literally just ended up having the same roster as last year without having an OP player and instead an extra support. I think victor stays and you drop either crashies or ethan. I wouldn't overly trust s0m's raze and victor has proven that he can be good on raze and neon if that becomes meta. I don't see a point in having both crashies and ethan on the same roster when for their entire career they've played the same agents lol.

the way nrg used demon1 was a lot different than the way eg did. demon1 wasn't always the entry on eg but in nrg he was. he just wasn't fully utilized in nrg.

Alright so if this is a mutual benching then it makes sense. Demon1 may have a lot of stuff going on in his personal life and might want to take a break from the scene. But if it’s a coaches decision, what was the whole point of waiting out the EG hold outs if you’re not gonna give him different players to work with? Chet and the owner said themselves they had lots of opportunities to sign different players but they waited for Demon1 & Ethan because they thought they were worth it. If you still hold that value why give up before the year is over? I get they still have Ethan on the starting roster and there’s the chance I’m just talking at nothing but idk

Here's my take (no hate just it is what it is): yay and demon1 got carried by old chamber and jett. Both needed a secondary main duelist (victor and jawgemo) for the team to be functional (which is why yay got dropped because of 'role issues"). Both aren't the best as dive duelist. They play jett to play jett, not because jett is a duelist. Althouth their dry swinging/holding aim is out of this world, in pro play that doesn't matter as much except in clutch situations. Although demon1 has personal ssues, that definatly isn't the only reason for his performance. If demon1 can't play duelist, and they already have a better smoke player, he's essentially useless. Demon1 would only be viable in a double duelist/chamber meta, which isn't now.

​@@chaitanyarathi1422 The chamber nerfs was for yay. Jett was majorly nerfed (4 sec to 2.5 sec smoke) directly innbetween his time in eg and nrg. Becase he's only good in aim duels relying on crosshair placement and lacks explosiveness, that nerf is major for him. He's still good on jett though, but he only chose to play jett because she used to be busted, not because he wants to entry for the team. Just like yay, the entry is carried by the other duelist - jawgemo and victor. In a solo duelist meta there's just no place for him. He can still make a comeback if he switches to main smokes.

I mean yeah marved and demon1 are big names, but its not like theyre bringing in nobodies. S0m is right up there with the best raze players in the world and arguably top 2 flex in NA. And fns might not be a headshot machine but you need a good igl to make your star players shine. He plays a more than decent viper and kj, and will free victor to play duelist rather than a lurking sentinel. You cant just expect 5 great players to go on stage and play like theyre pugging and win anything significant. Honestly its victor and crashies that fell off quite a bit, couldve tried to snatch up trent pre season and stuck with s0m, but nah chet needs his "optic core"

Demon1 most likely went to reserve so he could spend more time with his wife, who is ill. Marved has failed to keep with his word to perform etc. And role issues should be resolved, with Ethan focusing more on flex instead of IGL since NRG pick up FNS. Vic can return to playing raze and maybe other duelists to. Crashies is crashies and s0m can play smokes.

​ There's better main duelists and controllers than him at the moment (which are the only 2 roles he plays). He plays jett to play jett, not because shes a duelist. He's playtstlye only works for a double duelist/chamber meta(same as yay), which isn't now, so benching him makes sense. No hate, just it is what it is.
