EXACTLY why, I didn’t pursue a career in acting. I found out in the 80’s & there was an intense feeling of doom , and there was a feeling in my gut that kept telling me get away from these people this is not right. I also found out that during that time my mother had been praying (she’s an old school prayer warrior)for me and I’m so glad I did because to of the aspiring people I was close to did not fair well at all. One got used up and lost his mind while the other one did make it but later died from complications of HIV. DEMOND Wilson is not lying. I bought his book too. Demon Wilson is a condescending turd. He sat back for decades and said nothing about what was going on in Hollywood. I understand that he was probably fearful for his life if he had come forward back in the day but his pissy demeanor in the present is disgusting considering he was too cowardly to speak-up until just recently. Men like Corey Feldman and Katt Williams are more courageous than Demond Wilson.

Please, some of these parents don't care, they are putting their kids in harms way. Thats why a lot of teenage actors get emancipated like Drew Barrymore and Macaulay McCallum did. A lot of these kid actors are the breadwinner of the family. They are the ones who paying the bills, rent, mortgage and etc. The parents don't work, they rely on their kids. Some of these parents exploited their kids. Look up what Brooke Shields mom allowed Hollywood to do to her. She was half naked for the movie blue lagoon. The movie pretty babies she played a teenager prostitute Doing scenes that was inappropriate for a child. She was in playboy at 10. Gary Coleman had to go back to work after he just had surgery for kidney. Jackie Cooper uncle and grandmother would do stuff to make him cry for a scene. They told him if he didn't cry they would kill his puppy They drugged Judy Garland when she was doing The wizard of Oz and another movie at the same time. kzbin.infoQCO2bRIDwGY?si=mLfqgYN069wFgdTB

Shirley Temple gave an interview as an adult & was open about the pedo scenes of her being bounced on men's laps, always an orphan being raised by a single man, etc. She also told there was a wooden box the kids would be placed in if they misbehaved or got their lines wrong. She learned fast to stay in line. She did not believe it was okay in the least. Patty Duke is another sad example of parents selling their child for fame & money. Patty was horribly abused. There are probably thousands of kids who lived thru this nightmare we'll never know about. Paris Hilton came forward about her experience & her parents refused to talk about it. They knew. It's part of the HWood ritual to give one or more children to them. Anne Rice wrote a whole series on it.

I’m sure Shannon Sharp’s interview with Kat Williams went viral because Shannon Sharp let Kat talk and expound at will without being rushed or interrupted. Also, you could tell Shannon Sharp did his research first and then asked open-ended questions and let Kat do the rest. This interviewer needs to pick up on the cues Demond Wilson is giving him so this can go viral and help his community of viewers.

The predators go out to the adults as well. That is why there’s so much drug abuse in the industry. These people have to try to cope with what they have gone through. I’m no mental health expert or drug abuse expert but just living for the past 61 years, it seems to me that there’s a connection between sexual abuse and drugs and alcohol addiction. And the abuse doesn’t have to happen in childhood. Both men and women have been victims of predators in the entertainment industry. Brendan Fraser an example of a grown man being groped without his consent. He reports it but the good old boys club kept it hush-hush.

Drugs are used to compensate for the intense trauma. It really doesent matter what exactly happend to you, if the experience is negative enough to impact your psychy for a long time. The chance that you take drugs is then very high. There are not many means to come to terms with that anyway. Its a deep rooted wound that never really goes away.

Demond Wilson is spot on about child exploitation in Hollywood. It's been going on for decades; parents living vicariously through their own offspring for their own selfish gain, exposing them to sex perverts and pedophiles and stripping and robbing them of their childhood innocence forever. He mentioned for example Shirley Temple, who was way too precocious for a child star; some of her movies and scenarios with grown men viewed in a modern-day light may be disturbing to today's viewers. Not just her, there were other child stars of that era-the 1930s-and beyond, who was also manipulated and sexually exploited, in effect, being 'pimped out' by both their parents and producers as well as being sexually abused by well-known actors and actresses and other adult performers of the day, whose names have been obscured in anonymity for fear their reputation and legacy would be destroyed. As the saying goes, "There's no business like show business"-and show business is no business for a child.

@@thebastardgift It basically works both ways; they're living through their kids by capitalizing on their fame and they're living off them by spending their monies, often unauthorized, for their own monetary benefit. Respect breeds respect. Patronizing others innocently wanting to know means he ain’t learned nothing about humility. Hollywood done ruined this guy, while he got semi rich and sorta famous. Be glad somebody wants to hear your old ass stories where you’re still too scared to “name names!” Dick Gregory gave the same useless condescension when asked an honest question. How bout civility and respect and maybe young folks will want to benefit from these self serving, non stories……
