In regard to that strong confidence that comes from the Father, God was showing me that we worship what we fear. Fear is all consuming. When we fear man, lack, pain, death, those things (or rather, the act of avoiding them) can become idols. When we fear God, there is no room for any other fear

@ that’s true as well, but I think the fear of the LORD is more than just a desire to honour. It is like genuinely scary, but in a good way, and gives us wisdom and life. If my comment above wasn’t clear, it wasn’t to say the fear of the LORD is bad, no it’s good, but we should remember the weightiest commandment is to love the LORD with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and then to love our neighbour. Fear definitely has a place, but we should always remember love.

@@agape832 I think the point I was trying to make is that the concept of "fearing God" is akin to "worshipping God." If fear = worship, fear of God is worship of God. And perfect love casts out fear. Fear of God is a perfect fear, one without negative consequences (in and of itself). And I think that's also why the Bible says "the cowardly will not inherit the kingdom of God." I used to think that was harsh, being a person who is sometimes anxious, but now I understand the deeper implications of that verse (ie, idolatry)

@@agape832 proverbs says a man who is unkind to another has forsaken the fear of the Lord. That’s a good marker to test oneself I have found. Fear = faith = humility = salt. The fear of the Lord is his great treasure. It is actually the first command. It gives us the power to turn from evil. Fear = turn from evil. Mercy and truth = purged from iniquities. Fear is the beginning of wisdom and sanctification. Thy hypocrite falls bc of lack of fear of the Lord. I was just trying to get you to see it. Fear has more than one English word to define it I guess like most Greek and Hebrew words. Be blessed

Yeah I think he preaches a lot of good things, he preaches real repentance and teaches people to trust Jesus in a real in depth meaningful way. However with that being said yeah he is definitely to anti church and has some religious beliefs / spirits he still needs to get delivered of. With that being said though as well, I understand where he is coming from because he was a "pastor" prior to conversion so I take that into consideration too.
