Thank you Daniel! I've been struggling with sexual sin ever since I was young, I didn't know the harm that it could cause. It's got a hold of me so tightly and now it's starting to form a dark path in my life. There is so much conflict and guilt within myself. I've recently tried to fight it by myself for my own selfish reasons, but I always get defeated and the pain always get's worse. I believe that this message is God telling me to completely surrender all the bad within myself and let him transform my life. I know God is with me and there's no temptation that he can't beat. Friend I'm persuaded to respond to your comment here after reading your open hearted confession. Don't be discouraged ever. You continue to trust that God CAN and WILL heal you. We all fall short of Gods glory but when we recognize our sinful nature and our inability to help ourselves we admit we need HIM and confess and repent. The outcome is that HE is so faithful to hear us and heal us. We are forgiven. Don't lose hope if you fail again and again. Immediately recognize you are wrong and repent. My mind says all the things I want and need to do, but my body doesn’t want to move. True! Only God can deliver you from sin. I've been praying for long time to be delivered from pornography, lust, alcohol, smoking and a whole bunch of sinful behavior. And I can tell you, God made intense progress with me (no more porn, lustful thoughts are quickly rebuked, no more getting drunk or tipsy, over 2 months without smoking, no more watching horror movies, and so on). Hopefully, and by the grace of God, I can do the next step and get baptized.

I know the Spirit is now at work in me. Having asked for forgiveness and repentance, I look back at my earthly desires with disgust . When I think and talk, a small voice works before I open my mouth or let the mind wander. I actively tell Satan to flee when intrusive thoughts arrive. It’s okay my friend. Please, do not hate yourself. I understand your grief though, my biggest battle was sexual sin. I tried and tried through my own WILL to stop, I guess in my delusion I wanted to prove to God that I wanted him so much that I would stop of my own will. But I would fail again and again and again and AGAIN! And it became very depressing, I would always give in and always feel true grief afterward. But my friend, that is why we WORSHIP OUR LORD! For He has almighty mercy and grace! And all you have to do is surrender to it! That is what I did. And I understand my friend, when you are in the moment and the temptation is rife, you almost don’t want to ask for it to be taken away, Satan whispers in your ear “go on, just do it. One last time” and “if you just do it you’ll feel so much better”, so you give in, and then it’s “oooooh, you disgusting rat. You’ve failed again. Do you even deserve mercy? Why even try to stop, you clearly can’t”. BUT DO NOT LISTEN. SATAN LIES, TEMPTS, SHAMES AND BLASPHEMIES! But believe me friend, just find the strength to ask, ask for the temptation to leave you, and all will be given. Surrender! Truly my friend, the feeling you get from resisting is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much greater than the quick high from giving in. Ohhh it’s magnificent, you can just bask in His almighty glory! On another note, a few things that worked/work for me are: firstly, just to sit with the feelings, close your eyes and just be with it and find peace with it, not accepting it, but just being with it, then, ask for it to be taken away and place it in the hands of our Father. Second, surround yourself with people whenever the temptation arises ( if it comes up on Fridays like you said, maybe go to the cinema on Fridays, or go out with a good friend (who doesn’t encourage what you are trying to resist)). Thirdly, imagine Jesus. Just imagine Him in the room with you, talking to you, laughing with you, loving you. I find that, if I do that I can’t even bring my self to sin because I love Him so so so much! And finally, start marking the days or times you’ve resisted. Obviously I don’t know you, but if your anything like me you will want to get that number as high as possible. But also, if you do give in. Please, don’t hate yourself for one second. Turn to Jesus and repent! Ask for His beautiful mercy! Jesus knows you and wants you to succeed! But He can’t forgive you if you can’t forgive others...that includes yourself, so forgive yourself and REPENT TO JESUS BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU AND CHERISHES YOU! ACCEPT HIM! And lastly, sorry this has been a novel, I just want to tell you how much Jesus, God and I love you. Jesus DIED just so you could be free, God sent His only Son to DIE just so you could be freed from your sin. How much must they love and treasure you? And I and They are truly, wholeheartedly rooting for you my beautiful friend. You bless your precious soul. And praise our Almighty Lord GOD AND JESUS! AMMMMMMMEEENNNNN! ❤✨

When you repent, that's when you agree to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. It means heeding this word of Jesus: "Go, and sin no more" (John 8:11). Sin is the opposite of obedience to God. I have been there you can overcome you sin I struggled with this sin a long time. I had to be rebuke Jesus said in mark 1:15 repent and believe. You got to love the Lord more but you can overcome by not watching evil TV shows and stuff like that but most importantly take your thoughts captive according 2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. That means take every thought captive including every evil thought and every thought wether it be a conversation your thinking of having every thought captive. So how do you put in to practice taking your thoughts captive you say Lord that thought is not of you I take that thought captive I rebuke that thought and then you ask the Lord to replace your thoughts with his thoughts. God literally delivered me from desperate woman syndrome, always needing male attention, insecruity, and deception! The enemy even used God's Word, which i love, twisting it to mean things that it doesn't, to accommodate my flesh. For years i walked in this drug of weakness, deception and desperation. I wasn't on drugs or alcohol or porn, but mine was just as bad or worse, because i could cause others to fall! The story is amazing how God broke the power of something that i had for so long, and i didn't even know what it was to be truly free, because i thought these things were part of my personality. They were part of the natural (man) but when God broke the power of it and set me free, i was no longer a slave of my weakness. I rely on the LORD alone, because i still struggle with fear and anxiety some, over my son who is away from God. His name is Jordan D. I want the LORD to set him free. I want to share an experience I JUST had. A friend came by and asked what I'm doing. I said that Im watching a video about overcoming the flesh through the Holy Spirit. He literally told me that He's good. He went to church, yesterday, and that he doesn't want to hear anything about God. WOW! For a split second, I felt like the pharisee and was thinking thankfully I'm not like this sinner - kind of thinking. Then, I immediately felt terrible for my ungratefulness that God has so mercifully taken me as an awful, despicable sinner and graciously allowed me His Spirit even though I absolutely do not deserve it. I started praying for him and repenting of my pride snd ungratefulness. Only through the Spirit could I ever have been able to see the error of my sinful thoughts about my friend even though he is still very much in his flesh. You're not using your main weapon which is fasting. Praying alone is like using a knife to cut down a tree while fasting is like using an axe. Fast and pray and tell God why you're fasting and what you want him to do through it before you start the fast for example" God am going to start a seven days fast and through it I want to take away the desires of fornication from my hearts always and permanently. Repeat over and over again until you're completely free. If it comes back then repeat again and again. If it comes again repeat again

Hi dear You can be free. Permit me to share my addiction journey with you and how I got delivered. I could be of great help to you. Hi dear I have been there before and I totally understand what it means to be in that position. I was once addicted to pornography. Lustful thought was constantly in my face. I was hooked. I felt there was no way of escape for my soul. I felt bound but God save me. I remember how I will cry and feel so frustrated thinking help will never come but the God who sees came to my rescue. The question is, how? Firstly, I rededicated my life back to Christ. I was a christian but I had backslided. I realized that, indeed by strength shall no man prevail. I needed divine help to fight this battle. Secondly, I obeyed the scriptures that says evil company corrupt good manner. Through the help of the Holy Spirit I stayed away from friends who urge to do this detestable thing,. I deleted musics, novels and movies that urge me to do this evil. Then most importantly I surround myself with godly company, read my Bible more consistently, listen to godly contents. Also, the Bible believing church I started attending gave room for an accountability system. This made me accountable to a older christian who comfort, encourage and rebuke me when necessary. I realized that most times people fall back to their past sins because after they had been clean they did not fill themselves with godly things. When you take out the bad, you must let in the new if not the bad will return. see it has been 3 years plus now. I have not gone back to my addiction rather I have been more addicted to the word of God. If God can deliver me from this honestly there is no addiction he cannot deliver you from. Your husband needs to repent. That means renouncing disobedience to God and committing to obey God for the rest of his life. When a person submits to God and resists the devil, he will flee (James 4:7). It starts with being humble and acknowledging a desperate situation that needs a rescue/deliverance in order to receive God's grace that brings salvation. Please see James 4:6-8, Titus 2:11-14, and also Luke 5:31-32. He needs to receive that message from God, and his response to God's word is what will determine the way forward.
