I loved the adaptation. The only disappointment I had that they didn't darkened the face of twilight face which was so cool in manga like when he points gun at that boss. But that is not that much of an issue ❤️

That's the point why darkening his face only looks good/cool in the manga Darkening a character's face when you have multiple color palette wouldn't really look good especially since it's an anime adaptation Unlike the unique and beautiful black and white color palette of a manga

I haven't read the manga so I don't know anything, but I feel like at the facility that raised her and tried to use her powers, she probably saw murder or worse on a regular basis. She was 007, what happened to 001-006?

@@schris3 interesting enough, many times trauma experienced as a kid generates problems only after puberty, many kids could live a traumatic experience and be good for a few years before the pain catches up, obviously not all cases are the same but that's the thing about trauma

@@Aprianex I want to clarify it to you. It’s not cloverworks fault, the mangaka decided it for himself as well to change the story Progression in the anime. At first The studio got a shit ton of hate but everyone started to understand after a brief second of research that the mangaka decided this. 😇 (Which I’m still traumatized by tbh TPN is an S+ Tier story in the manga but sadly s2 didn’t live up to it)

You sure about that? Today's episode felt more like something CloverWorks would produce, and just by looking at the next episode preview, next episode looks more like something WIT would produce (just by looking at the high movement and detail in the preview).

I didn't even realize that there were that many little differences when I watched ep 1. Which for me means that they're doing a great job with adapting the manga to an anime. I love SpyxFamily and I'm really enjoying the anime 🥰❤

I'm glad this had thought put into it it shows that the animators care, that actual planning was made to put those peanuts as a to-go snack, that Loid doesn't sit down before he's about to head out, ladders for the ceiling rat Anya. these are the little details that help me reaffirm that the right people are working on this series, if a detail is overlooked like something as simple as mismatched dialogue-to-actions, it makes me think hey were just working to get it out. Which is not a nice feeling.

I _did_ imagine Frankie with a deeper voice compared to the anime tho, coz despite being showcased as the sidekick, Frankie got balls and _is_ really capable. His friendship with Twilight (and later on, the whole family) is one of my favorite parts of the manga. He's not just the comedic relief, less good looking (tho I digress, he got drip) wimpy friend - as I feel they reduced him (or on the way there at least). So I wish they do him justice.

i personally think the voice suits him, plus just because a person got balls doesn't mean they need to have a deeper voice, he's just a funny capable lad

Plus, having a high-pitched voice doesn't really mean he doesn't have balls, it's shown also in the anime that he's definitely capable when it's necessary, especially when it comes to acting.

In episode 3 they added more details in the mock interview and changed yor’s answer since in the manga when twilight asked yor about her philosophy she said blitzkrieg with twilight wondering how she raised her brother

There's a small detail you missed. In the manga, Twilight's parenting books are in English, and are bound in western style, with the binding on the left hand side. In the anime, they're in Japanese (romaji on the covers, kanji inside) and are bound on the right hand side.

I think the "demon" face of twilight just didn't make sense- specially in color. Since those are drawn in streaks which is difficult to animate- sure, smudge frames exist but remember that Loid is just standing behind the guy. So yeah-

The only problem the anime adaptation had was its lack of intense shadows like the scene where you can see how pissed Twilight was when he found out who was behind the kidnapping. The improvisation and exploration the adaptation did definitely paid off in terms of its quality.

the changes in Spy X Family anime makes the anime less typical than other anime you see... Dark tone lighting when emitting emotion, non-excessive use of dialogue, and some scene changes.

I really fell in love with the art style of the manga (those lines are gorgeous!!!), and was really curious to see the anime. ... I have to say I was a little disappointed with the movement in the anime though... for some reason the way action e movement were portrayed in the manga gave me a much more dynamic feel then we end up getting in the anime. I don't know... (edit) Just saw the 3rd episode... ˇnˇ and I'm really sad and disappointed with the lack of dynamic/impact/straight up physics in the movements and action...

Feel the same. The animation is good, but it looks a bit stiff when comparing it to the really exaggerated movement and sequences that we have in the manga. Also, the way Tatsuya Endo emphasizes character emotions by drawing softer lines (for example Anya seeing Loid's unmasking) or by exaggerated shadows (when Loid points the gun in order to make him look more menacing) . All of that is lost here

It's because the manga can make better use of squash and stretch, which is harder to translate smoothly into the more realistic tone the anime seems to be going for. I honestly had the opposite reaction. I thought Wit did a really good job woth the brief action scene in Epiosde 1, but I felt like Cloverworks failed to convey the impact of Yor's kick in Episode 2.

I get what you mean. I don't know any words to represent what's missing but I think the main problem I'm getting is that the animation might actually be in a way too good. They paid attention on making things much more smooth, realistic and also due to this they removed many funny/silly panels in the manga

For some reason I think that the quick clips of spy wars when Anya is watching is foreshadowing to future events. For example, in ep 2, when the spy is holding a girl and says ,” you won’t get away with this” I think something similar will happen, maybe something with Anya or Yor

Was abslutely delighted to see one of my favourite manga to get an anime adaptation, and seeing the Forger family come to life plus all the tiny details added in the anime is just amazing. Although I would say few action scenes might have lacked a little... impact? It might be just me but few scene just did not have as much impact as I thought they would be. (Might be a bit of a spoiler but for example Yor's kick in episode 2 and when Loid dropped on the thief in episode 3, even the scene where Loid had a gun on Edgar's head in this video) Not hating on it, the anime has been incredible and Im loving it

When i first heard of this anime, i thought it took place in the real world haha. It’s hard to tell what Westonia and Ostania were inspired from, and what language they should be talking. The borders of West and East are similar to the demilitarized zone in Korea, but the waring tension feels more similar to that of the Cold War between the US and the USSR in the 1960’s. Berlint also throws me off, because it’s similar to Berlin, the capital of Germany. Not only that, Ostania’s secret police is very similar in design to both the USSR and the Gestapo (secret police) of Nazi Germany. W.I.S.E also reminds me very much of the romanized and fictitious depiction of the C.I.A. It’s a story very much inspired by the real world, but i doubt both nations speak Korea or Japanese lmao. Best guess is just German or English.

Also another change is the car itself at the beginning of the episode. In the anime we have a Russian made GAZ-13 Chaika, a state/luxury car for the Soviet political class while in the manga we have another type of car wich i can't full recognise.
