Hi, I've just bought one of these after careful research and watching your review. I'm not a drummer but a guitarist/bassist and as soon as I started playing this I knew this would suite my purpose. I'm not great at programming drum machines etc... I now know that with a little practice I'll be able to lay down some decent rhythm tracks in my daw.

for anyone in the EU looking for this, it is sold as the OYAYO Electronic Drum Kit here
@laptoples Жыл бұрын
I didn't think it sounded good in the room at first, but when you went direct, it didn't sound that bad at all, and being that way you can hook it up to EZ drummer... Etc, that is awesome !!! If I ever have to move back to NYC again and live in a tiny apartment, I'd rather that then no drums at all for sure !!! I do have the Yamaha DTX MULTI 12 though, and that really has held up over time for sure !!! Especially for hand percussion !!! You can push down to change tuning and everything. Still a really rad pad !!! Plus 12 pads is perfect for anything you really need for a mini set, plus extra inputs for a snare and I think 2 or 3 more pads to make a small drum set. Thanks for the fun review !!! :-)
@pocojoyo Жыл бұрын
Yeah, those DTX and Roland multipads are the best. But for us poor people we have Alesis or the Avatar that Justin also reviewed. I prefer the Avatar if I go this way.

Thanks for the video. I already have a Roland electronic drum kit for my apartment, but was strongly considering a table top unit like this for when I travel, or go visit family. Seems like a decent way to still be able to practice when not at home.

I like how the high hat is in the middle. My Yamaha dd65 is nice but you still have to crossover which is not as easy on a tabletop set. Tabletop sets ultimately though are a blast!

I had the same Pyle set you reviewed way back. I ended up getting the Yamaha DD 75. I really like that tabletop set because you can buy a bass drum kick pad and use a real kick pedal. I also just got a cheap hi hat pedal. These kits all seem to come with those buttons. You do an excellent job playing with the stock foot control but I have a really hard time with them they seem to move a lot and they're just harder to get used to.
@pocojoyo Жыл бұрын
Ive always wanted those little drums before I finally got the more limited, but better constructed 4 pad KAT ktmp1. What I dont understand is why those companies dont simply make an octapad version of those units ???
@blinddog121210 күн бұрын
BTW, I now have a similar pad and I like it but hate the pedals. see you mentioned Rockband pedals in another comment; would they just work as-is when plugged in to a 3.5 mm pedal port? Could I also somehow use my Alesis pedals for when I want to take my pad on the road (was thinking 1/4" to 3.5 mm converter)? It's called a Rocksocki electronic tabletop drum set and it has two pedal inputs.

Hey DS, is this a worthwhile purchase for someone like me who's trying to learn to play open-handed? I have the Pyle PTED06 and I can't make a custom open-handed kit patch due to the hi-hat pedal being connected to the snare pad only. Also, how do the pedals fare compared to the other tabletop kits? Thanks!

I would say they're pretty close. The Konix does more stuff, but maybe the pyle feels made a little better? Also Yamaha DD65 or DD75 often pop up on the used market for $100-$150. Both of those are great.

How do you connect via Bluetooth? Is there a way to do Bluetooth audio out to earbuds?
@demonicsweaters Жыл бұрын
No, this is not possible on any drums. Bluetooth has too much latency for real-time drumming.
@JoelChristophel Жыл бұрын
@@demonicsweaters thanks. Would you mind explaining how the advertised Bluetooth functionality works?
@IllegallySighted Жыл бұрын
I'm guessing the Bluetooth is only for input, like drumming along with your phone. Because once you hear your music, it's easy to play along in real time. I'm guessing Bluetooth output would be way too laggy. You'll probably want to use the internal speaker, or a wired pair of headphones for output.
