Brightshades prioritize plants planted by the player, even if it's all the way across the world and across the ocean. They then also prioritize farm plants and weeds over berry bushes, grass, and saplings, and prioritize large groups of plants. You can apparently make a giant farmplot of weeds somewhere to act as bait for them regardless of what else you plant in the world.

I came to this video because I am back on dst and started playing with Rift active from the start just to see how it works and those things kinda fuck it up my base and I am not a good player so I think I gonna to give up. So annoying that they go after your crops
