Fun story, back in 1970 or so when i was a kid there was a club (BPM) here in Minneapolis that always came to a corner bar and i would ride my schwinn stingray (the one with a springer front end) to the corner of the block and watch. i was fascinated with the loud bikes. One day a guy came over and gave me a jean jacket with cut off sleeves it had no patches or anything like that just some Indian type beads on the bottom. He told me don't ever let anyone ever touch it or disrespect it. i still have it to this day packed away!

That's good advice. I've seen a few clubs start up and get shut down pretty quickly by not following protocol. #4 really stuck with me; if you don't have the right guys up front running the show, the club won't stand a chance. You can have a couple squads of badass muscle but without the right leadership the club will be doomed to failure.

I lived in Florida at the time we started a new club. I was chosen to represent our club by another affiliate club to the senior club in the State for a sit down. The president was cool but the Sgt at Arms was tough on me. Lots of questions came my way but I was prepared with by-laws, experience and I came in with no agenda. After about two hours of being pressed, we were blessed to be a Riding Club. After a year of partying, riding and holding our own in some heated battles (gaining respect from other clubs), that same senior club gave us the "MC" authorization. That was a proud moment in our history. It's a rough life style but filled with a lot of rewards. Many years later the club name was changed as the senior club in the State honored us with becoming a direct support club, which was when I decided to leave, but I wish them well.

When our Chapter started we went first to the 1% to get their advice and blessing. The 1% P is a great man and he took a personal interest in showing us the ropes. We showed up at every event and we didn't just party. We volunteered and helped when we could. When we had issues we TCB and made sure it didn't hit the plates of the bigger established MCs. If the 1%ers brought us issues we took it seriously and dealt with it. We are now well respected and looked at as a solid Crew.

When I, with loads of help from a couple Brothers I've been close to for years before, started our club, there was no COC in our state. We went about it properly, by meeting with the dominant. Got proper approvals. And this past May marked the 10th anniversary of the club we started! The Brothers i started the group with gifted me with a "founder" patch since i pretty much designed everything, including the idea and "theme". One of my fellow founding members moved on in another direction, and i and the other retired. I still go to functions, on occasions when i can. My club was one of the first to be involved in the COC when one finally was started in our state. There's been some ups and downs, but I'm happy to say there were never any serious beefs that weren't sorted out with conversations.
@metalhead93153 ай бұрын
Back in 2013 here in Texas, 7 brothers and I wanted to stand up our own MC. Me and another brother designed our tabs, flash and patch and took it to the COC (You know which Big 4 club runs Texas too.) They approved. The next thing they wanted to see was our Club Constitution complete with by-laws, rules, dues, organization, prospecting and membership rules, EVERYTHING! Writing a Club Constitution took me over a year. It's a massive undertaking that many people never think about. That in itself took many sit downs and one on ones. You have to have thick skin and be able to take rejection and criticism. One of the stipulations for us to stand up was that we had to agree to don support patches on our cuts since we made it a point to use colors that didn't match theirs. We agreed. We also had to have a location scouted for a proper clubhouse. This is something else a lot of young guys never consider. When everything was approved and done, we were given a time and place to be officially introduced by the COC here to the MC community. Sadly, after the events at Twin Peaks in Waco in 2015, National leadership denied any and all new clubs from standing up. You hit every key point exactly with this video, Sose and I appreciate that you put this kind of knowledge out there to educate the young blood. Keep up the great work.

It's like a business. Organizations rise and fall. But if it is successful. And things go right. Everything will be okay. But if nobody works together. Things will fall apart. And all is lost. But if everyone sticks it out. And they work together with each other. Your organization will work as a well oiled machine. You see. The club is a wheel. And each member. Is a spoke to make that wheel work. But if one spoke breaks. The other spokes will have to work harder to make the wheel work. Do you see what I'm saying?

Organize crime is a better way to understand parts of bike culture that is critical to survival. Being Aware of how you can be a threat or a pawn is important to know. Shogun is good watch, Samurai positioning is example.

For the last two months I’ve been diving into the culture via the internet, and as a dude who grew up skateboarding in the early 2000’s (still skate to this day) the MC culture is so similar. I feel like we grew up with the same outlaw mentality, and your videos have really given me a glimpse into a word that seems so familiar yet so foreign. I hope to one day join an MC, as I have always been a punk anyway - and your videos are helping me understand all this shit. Keep it up.

Well, the first thing I would suggest is to ask yourself why? If it's just to wear a backpatch, you're probably going to fail. If it's because you don't want to prospect, you'll definitely fail. If it's because you have a specific vision or goal, you should probably look into established clubs to find if it already exists. Lastly, you need to decide if you're willing to bleed for what you want. If you're not, you've already failed.

Former MC.. had sit downs with bigger clubs as well as reached out to many others as respect to start an RC.. Got approval from a local main MC in the area. Everyone seems cool except one club and has just been a run around. That club is not even in the same area but went to a sit down with them as well . Wisconsin.. how do you deal with the single club and does an RC "have" to follow the same 8 mentioned? I mean i feel like i hve done everything correct so far, being winter around here not much for events yet. Anyhow, just curious ...

Sose, so is Demons Row an MC? I live in Florida and ride with a small group of off road/ duelsport/ adventure type guys, if we wanted to become a small MC I would need to get with the MC here in Florida? Trying to learn as I go. Thanks
