Demonstrating a Magical Coin Program For The Equinox 800 (Coiltek 10x5 and Minelab 15" search Coil)

For some of you this may be a bit of a long and drawn out video and I apologize up front. But I've had several folks ask if I would throw together a video as I am using the Nox 800 with my coin program just so folks can hear the different sounds etc. For those of you who asked for that, this video is for you. I also wanted to give the 15" coil a try in an open field using the same program to see if I can use it to Cherry Pick a field for coins. To be 100% I would never use the 15" coil at a trashy permission. It just doesn't make any sense. I typically use it at the beach. However, I did discover an interesting relic program using "Beach 1" that I'm tryin that out as well. There may be a future video on the relic program if it turns out to be a good one but for now, the verdict is still out.

Great content, as always. It's fantastic you are explaining how to not chase false signals. So many channels don't help anyone learn how to actually use a metal detector, and what a good signal sounds like!! Keep in mind those loud coin sounds will still sound pure, but quieter as they are deeper, also your depth triangles work as a guide to depth, although not entirely accurate. Obviously, hearing a pure, deep signal is one that has the highest probability of having age, but I dig all those perfect sounds regardless of depth. I just can't resist (-; Great video man !!

Its interesting here in the UK we would have to dig some of those iffy targets but I fully understand the difference in types of targets you are searching for.

Nice hunt! Most of those old churches are loaded with iron. I believe there's a time and a place to look for perfect signals and this isn't one of them. Then again, we don't always feel like digging falsing iron but in order to get those coins and relics locked in iron you have to dig the iffys! Just the way it is. Nice video.

This might be just a dumb question but , do you or have you ever swept 90deg to a target of questionable tones/ VDI? I’ve found IF the readings are the same both ways , it’s usually a good dig.

After using the 10x5 coil, do you see yourself using the 6” coil much anymore? Other than being able to get into tighter spaces with the 6, in your opinion are there any other reasons to use the 6 vs the 10x5?

I like the 6" but I think the 10x5 is my go to now. I think you can do just as well with the 10x5 and you get more coverage with the same separation benefits.

I dont use a shovel on places like churches , parks , and sports fields , some people frown on that. Only in farm fields. I lost a site because the city caught a guy digging large holes with a shovel.

I went over everything with the grounds keeper and the church and everyone was on board with what I was doing. I have given everything back to the church for their archives. Is that what you do Wayne when you dig churches? Just curious.

@@MentalMetal It's not about the finds , it's about using a shovel on these kinds of sites. Churchs , parks , sports fields , curb strips. Like I said before I lost a site because residents complained about a guy using a shovel just like yours in a park instead of a small digging tool. The city shut it down to detecting. Just need to be more aware of what you look like and what your doing to the passer by.

What do you normally put your F2 at for the Andy Sabisch programs and this magical program?

At the time of doing the video, I don't think I ever messed with F2 so whatever the default is or turn it down to 0.

@@MentalMetal What are your tips and tricks to find rings with the nox? My issue is that gold goes from 1 to 25. I feel really discouraged and hope you have some tips to dig less foil and junk and more rings. Silver rings seem easier to me because I will dig up anything solid from 20 to 40. I hope that I can finally find a ring and get some more hope in the hobby. Im sick of foil foil foil and pull tabs pull tabs pull tabs

@De Be sorry for the late response, Thats a tough call on the gold because you are right. Unfortunately, you have to dig the junk to be rewarded, I don't have any good method. I'm not big on the rings. If I find them great. I usually hunt for those at the beach but I tend to dig everything anyway.

I will dig a few iffy once I'm done cherry picking a site. If I have endless visits I'll dig them all over time. For a limited time with the 6" coil i would picks a small area and mentally grid it off and cherry pick the heck out of it. Once you are done with that section, move over and lather rinse repeat.

If running the 3.0 update, Iron Bias FE is at 4 what should FE2 be?

Its my understanding that running FE at 4 you would want to turn your FE 2 down to zero, they aren't used together its either one or the other but I could be wrong. I always turn mine to zero when using FE.

How do you tell if a 13 is a nickel or pulltab? N=How do you tell if it is junk or treassure?

Sometimes depending on the placement in the ground you can hear a slight difference but most of the time its hard to tell on any machine.
