What does that sound like? I've never gotten to use a lathe before but does that have a "gut wrenching noise" like tho old nails on a chalkboard saying?

@@Useruserusername790 the squealing is only if you have chatter, like if you don’t hold it down good enough, otherwise it’s actually a really nice sound of the chips flying around

When i learned on cnc we used to practice making chess pawns. Theyre small those pieces have curves and all kinda of shit has to be on them. Its not the purpose its the way to learn it
