Demonstration of the Demoichellec

This ULM, initialy developped with a heat engine, has been created by Daniel Dalby from the Demoiselle of Alberto Santos-Dumont. Some students of the IUT of Chartres motorized it with an electric engine.
We present here one of the Demoichellec flight, piloted by Thomas Joron, at the Chartres aerodrome (France).

C'est pas uin peu fou de laisser de l'espace entre l'aile gauche et l'aile droite ? Il me semble que ça réduit l'allongement effectif et augmente la trainée induite.

Decades from now, it might be possible to fit solar panel cloth to the wings. Then you can stay aloft all day. But not at night.
