Demonstration of W9RAN's Pico Rx - SDR receiver using Raspberry Pi Pico2

This video shows my version of the Pico Rx which I call the "Simple Pico Rx", based on software from Jonathan Dawson - 101Things. See my other video for more information about my hardware design and 3D printed enclosures. The video ends with a preview of Pico Tx menu functions for the integrated Pico Rx-Tx transceiver.

I like it a lot. It sounds 100 times better than a uSDX I built some years ago and abandoned because it performed poorly. I noticed the Pico 2 is just $5 at Microcenter. I think I can use some of the components from the old uSDX The OP amp might be expensive. Will a LT 6231 work as well? Is the firmware available?

The Pico Rx code can be found here: github.com/dawsonjon/PicoRX and documentation can be found at: 101-things.readthedocs.io/en/latest/breadboard_radio.html In Pt. 2 of the Breadboard version, a number of op amps are reviewed. All work fine as would the LT6231, and testing failed to show any noticeable difference. I'm using the MCP6292 which offers great performance at low cost.

Here’s a crazy question: I’m currently using a SpyVerter into an RTL-SDR to listen to HF. Do you think this design would, in general terms, outperform that?
