Thanks man, great video. I always felt SansAmp made every bass sound the same, in the way the mid is soo scooped. So all the character of a particular bass is pretty much gone. I had the programmable bass di (3 footsw) for a while and never set the eq away from 12 o clock. Also had the VT Bass for a while. That one was a bit more versatile. Until I found the AMT BC-1 and never go back to SansAmp. Same great overdrive but retains the bass tone without having to blend with the dry signal, and also better cab sim curve. Plus pre and post gain filters which make a whole difference.

Much like anything Tech 21, Blend is the key. Tech 21 always recommends cranking it but when doing so you really lose the natural tone of your bass. Blending in the right amount of your bass and emulation produces great tones.

Try are _different_. Which one is better is 100% preferential and context dependant.
