Well look at his weapon, ya sure its a sitar but look deeper, its a Nobody symbol. If i have learned anything from Kingdom Hearts its there are no coincidence's and small details matter. I've always imagined Demyx as a fragment of someone sort of like Xion given how in the scene with Marluxia, and Larxene since we saw them in a pair of three could Demyx be some sort of fragment of Strelitzia or in a wilder twist what if Demyx was Strelitzia's Chirithy. Knowing Kingdom Hearts and how crazy its story can be, it wouldn't suprise me this might be possible. I like Demyx, though I will admit he has always been a background character to me kind of like Luxord. I like them but until they are ready to step into the foreground I don't give them as much thought as some of the others. In Days a player sees him as Roxas sees him. An adult that isn't doing adult things and is making Roxas' days harder when they have a mission together. Yet at the same time Demyx was a character likely to give you a presents in Days. In KH2 he is funny until you a player has to fight him, then he shows what he can really do. He also seems to be one of the characters that misses Roxas the most, not just as someone that he works with but as someone that meant something to him. Hearing that all he really wanted was a close friend makes a lot of sense now that I am looking back on it. Now I never believed the Demyx is MoM theory. In fact I was not even sure that I believed that Demyx was a keyblade wielder. His last line where he says 'what's it suppose to be guiding me to again?' makes me agree that it is very likely that Demyx did have a keyblade. As for where he heard to quote it was likely Luxu, he does say that he hung out with him a lot. Also does it seem weird to you that Luxu as a Nobody seemed to be aging a lot faster then everyone else? Demyx even calls him the old guy in his story. Nobodies only age when they feel like their body doesn't match their mental state at lest as far as I can tell. Back to Demyx well if he had a key then when he remembers he will most likely get his back. I am really not sure what he would do with a keyblade though. Most likely his wish for close friendship means that he will be close to someone when we meet his past self somewhere. Not sure if this will be a new character or someone we have already meet. I am a little unsure of who Demyx is going to end up being close to in the future, but seeing as it is something he wants he may work for it someday. If he was close to someone in the past then when he finds them again he may chose to be close to them again after being parted for so long. Still I am not sure what questions I should be asking about Demyx. He most likely has some importance and in Demyx like fashion he will show it suddenly and with a great big splash.

nomura originally said that org13's backstories (aside from xemnas, roxas, and xigbar obviously) were irrelevant. demyx was made just to fill the ranks. that didn't stop fans from wanting and speculating more from them though. now, he's actively trying to add more to those characters for the fans.

@@Dreq458 Did he? Well even if that was the case when he first made the characters it is no longer the case. Marluxia is a very clear case of his backstory now being important. I have also heard people say that Luxord was Nomura's favorite member. Yet seeing as we hardly see him in KH2 I fairly sure that he had some idea of where he wanted Luxord at lest to go if he was allowed to continue after KH2. If KH2 hadn't done as well as it did it was very likely that the story would have stopped there. If so then the backstories of the other members could not have been told. So rightly he first focused on the stories he had time for. It is true that sometimes a writer has to add a character to fill the ranks. However after they are made one has to remember that they didn't come from nowhere. Irrelevant backstory for the story you are telling first is not the same thing as not having any backstory. Personally I love that he is able to take background characters and make them more important to the main story. His ability to take a small line or a object form a past game and make it into something truly important later is amazing. To be able 'add more' later to a character is amazing. Every writers that writes more the one book in the same world as the one before have to 'add more' later.

@@Dreq458 I see. I also agree somewhat. I like Demyx but he is nowhere close to my top ten. It is not really in my nature to be apathetic. Because of that and because I often listen to KH/FF or audiobooks when I paint I have come to care about the stories a lot. As for Xigbar is it wrong to say that I had a hard time liking him. People keep saying that he was in their top ten or close to it. He Marluxia and Larxene for a very long time where all characters that I disliked. Marcia and Larxene because they where so mean and Xigbar because he wasn't honest. It wasn't until Xigbar showed that he was Luxu that I started to like him. It could just be that I have a hard time liking characters that we are meant to dislike. Much less have them be a favorite. In fact the closest thing to a villain that I like in the KH story would most likely be Vanitas. Which again Vanitas is a very honest character. Even though Vanitas is someone that I greatly enjoy as a character I not sure he is in my top ten. Though he is defiantly above Luxu. Maybe is I had ten characters that I find interesting but I dislike Luxu would be on that.

You know, I was thinking, what if Yozoro and Luxlord are going to be in dark road, and the one who recruited Luxlord was Xehanort. That would explain why Luxlord was in the car with Yozoro. Luxlord and Yozoro are from a world ignorant of keyblades, and when Xehanort goes on his world tour, Luxlord and Yozoro find out about other worlds. Yozoro and Luxlord go their separate ways when Luxlord goes after Xehanort to get a keyblade while Yozoro does something else, maybe meeting patient X in the process.

Looking back at this, you seem to be right! I wonder if he had anything to do with Strelitzia that is still to be revealed, even months after the ending of UX and still waiting for Dark Road. So far, I think Demyx is one of Strelitzia's party members that left her party, quote from her: "I made a lot of friends, but I also had to say goodbye (that being Demyx and others". As for Luxord, maybe he was a member too who left or a mentor-type keyblade wielder teaching both her and Demyx some abilities. Marluxia/Lauriam and Larxene/Elrena already have the "Ancient Keybalde Legacy" with them along with Strel's absence, so why not Demyx and Luxord be involved too? If the true name of name of demix is Demi, "demigod" = son of a god. could someone of the universe of kh call him/her-self "God"? Mom is supervia as the rest of the masters Gula, Ira..... probably Mom could call himself "God". In an update of union cross mom told to luxu that he was the important keyblade wielder in the first keyblade war. Some comments from this video says that demix could be mom´s son. That could explain how demix knew about the secret of ancient keyblade war without being there. In remind we saw mom and xehanort talking together and maybe demix met xehanort by then. And we also see that mom told his name to xehanort, and there is a theory that mom name is "Light". Symbolically mom is "God of Light". Maybe in dark road we see demix.

I really think demyx is the MOM. Mom says in the new cutscene that he is a scaredy-cat and never takes off his coat. We only ever see demyx with the coat and sora has called him a coward cause he never fights really. Also with his mannerisms that everyone has brought up on the comments, it really points the direction that he is the mom. I wonder if demyx can also time travel and if he did, does that mean he did something that he was not supposed to. Mom tells one of the masters that he will disappear, fade, or vanish at one point. It’s funny that he also brought up one time in kh3 that he can be extremely imposing, when he wants to be.
