The auto setting on the jd dozers had me messed up a little at first I loved the 850 I was running but the GPS left a lot to be desired it was an older topcon setup . Then I was in a d5 with catgrade and I was totally blow away with the final product and how accurate it was

That's the good thing about having GPS You know where things are and you know the height they're supposed to be at, there's nothing worse than putting in a manhole for a storm drain and then when the parking lot gets finished the water goes around the drain because it's 3 in too high or something like that. Or it's too low and the car's drive over it it's like falling into a hole. Nowadays with all this stormwater requirements and stuff from DEQ you just can't mess that stuff up.

GPS works great but I wouldn’t spend a lot of time working it rite up to the edge of the buildings. Leave it a couple of feet away and fill it in with a skid steer. It would quicker and safer than hitting a downspout.

Fully disagree. Do you think untalented people would be able to set up, know what the grades are or need to be, build models on the fly and use this technology and the dozer together without any talent? You can’t just put anyone on the dozer and get results, does that mean there isn’t any skill difference in the person that can produce results and not?

Tell you what. I'll give you a shovel so you can preserve that "talent" for future generations. As for what he demonstrated... well it would take two guys to achieve any grade. The talent is..... hey Bob this is low over here... it's high over here. How many inches are we supposed to drop per foot again? Clowns are always the one packing their "messages" with emojis as if anybody takes you seriously.
