Denali National Park

We visited Denali National Park near Healy, Alaska for a total of 5 days in the Summer of 2018. There is only one road in the park and the rest is wilderness area. The road is 92 miles long, but you can only drive the first 15 in your vehicle and the rest can only be accessed by the park buses which you need to get tickets for. If you intend to ride the buses get the tickets as early as you can as they are timed . Various buses go various distances into the park so I also suggest that you get the longest trip you have available as you will see more wildlife. The center piece of the park in Mount Denali that is about 4 miles high, but it is has a lot of weather around it and is usually on visible about 1 out of 10 days. We will be with a tour group for the first two days and then on our own for three more days.
