I love that you know people well enough to know that you need to state the obvious and tell them that they need the frames with the glass. Having taught classes before I have come to know for a fact that you have to say everything exactly even though you are clearly using the glass you know somewhere there is that person that is going to ask what they need the frame for. Having run out of copy paper, I am now happily dendritic-ing my way through the paper work from a recent dispute I had with my Property management which has been resolved. Its giving me extreme satisfaction to smoosh out their words.

I just tried this technique with acetate instead of glass and I got great results! No need to use glass and I am happy since I babysit my grandkids and with my luck one of them would find the glass and break it!....Great video ! Thanks for sharing this. Thank you for an inspiration.The secret is in paper.Try printing on rice paper-awesome effect!!!Also playing with glass can be dangerous, you can use Perspex(plastic plates).To divide 2 plates I am using masking tape sticked separately to both plates(shape T).

Hi Shannon. This is awesome! I think I did this 10 years ago, using the shiny side of freezer paper. The only downside is that you can't reuse the freezer paper like you can with something sturdier. I used to make acrylic "skins" to glue onto other surfaces, after the acrylic paint dried & I peeled it off the freezer paper. Tere

wow beautiful patterns. Some make a really nice start to the beginning of scenes. - Before throwing away a broken scanner I'll take it apart to remove the glass bed. It's a nice thick glass which also provides a nice flat even surface for stamping. It takes a little work to get it out of the scanner but well worth doing. I have another scanner waiting for me to remove the glass. This technique is a reason to get to it.

the first orangey-yellow one looks like a pair of wings. this is a neat technique--I wonder if it would work with two very smooth pieces of plexiglass--a little less fragile and less likely to slice a clumsy person's (like me) fingers. the dendritic patterning is very fractal-like and reminds me a lot of the fractals i've generated and used in my computer art.

Also, I am wondering, for those worried about possible glass breakage and hence hand bleedage, would plexiglass work the same?

Hey, did I hear a plug for SciPlus? You must be in Geneva or thereabouts. Do you teach at any of the craft stores in the area?

+Darlene Ferree Yes, plexi glass will work and that is smooth white cardstock. It does sound very medical or scientific...make me feel all smart and junk ;)

Hi Shannon, which colours, papers u used. u used water. thanks. vandana.
@ShannonGreen
@ShannonGreen 6 жыл бұрын
Vandana, I just used several different colors and kinds of acrylic paints I had on hand. The paper I used was mostly plain white cardstock. If your paint is thick you might need to add a few drops of water but usually spreading it with a damp paint brush is all you need to do.
