Quando começamos este canteiro em 1999 o meu marido queria um cacto mexicano daqueles que se veem nos filmes mas só encontramos esta Euphorbia que na altura tinha apenas 30 cm de altura. Mas cresceu, cresceu e de vez em quando temos de mandar cortar alguns troncos porque são muito pesados e temos receio que caia em cima de alguém. Da ultima vez a pessoa que veio cortar levou um caminhão cheio dele. Não é fácil cortar por causa do peso e porque tem picos mas mesmo assim muita gente vem aqui para levar um pedaço 😃 Beijinhos e um ótimo dia 😍💖

Hi Fernanda! I hope things are well with you and your family. I really enjoyed your video. The garden blooms are wonderful! The cactus is massive. Almost scary. I have a Kingianum which opened its first bloom today. I love this plant as well . The blooms are pretty and scented! Avery robust plant. I also want to mention that most of the aphyllum keikis you sent are in bud. They look pretty small but the buds are fully formed. Can’t wait to see one open. Hi dear Beverly, so nice to hear from you. I also hope that you are doing well as well as your loved ones. Everything alright around here except that I am getting older and losing energy to garden as much as I used to 😂 That is why orchids are so good, not much energy needed, although much attention and care required. I am so glad that your Aphyllum is going to bloom beautifully. My own suffered a set back. My bad because two years ago I placed it on the wrong type of mount. But it is difficult to kill an Aphyllum because there are always so many keikis to continue. I hope mine blooms this year too. I hope all your other orchids are doing wonderfully as well. Olivia and Phoenix send you there love for always thinking of them. My love to you too, wishing your day is nothing but beautiful 😍💖🤗

Hi Fernanda! Every time you show us a new side of your yard, there's more and more beautiful things to see! Love the pond and giant succulent! What a paradise you have! As for the jasmine, I have two on my arches and know exactly what you mean, scent is so heavenly. Congratulations on blooming kingianum so beautifully. I received a keiki years ago and was told it was kingianum, when it bloomed for me the year after, it turned out to be Berry 'Oda' (kingianum x Mini Pearl). I think both are so pretty.

Olá amiga ❤️ Orquídeas que possam ser cultivadas no exterior são um descanso. As que passam o inverno em casa dão um trabalhão por causa das regas, principalmente. O "cato" gigante é na realidade uma Euphorbia. Estas são diferentes dos catos, os espinhos são diferentes e as flores também não são tão vistosas. Beijinhos e bom resto de semana 💝😘😘😘

Hello! Excellent Dendrobium. This hybrid is really pretty. Do you have divisions Fernanda? It must be a cross of Dendrobium fleckeri with some other hybrid. There are tons of characteristics of fleckeri all over that plant. And I sure love fleckeri!! One of the most stunning in my opinion and gave this hybrid excellent looks, enlarging blooms, height of plant and elegance. If you dont have divisions I will be in the waiting list 🤩

Hi Elljorgo, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. When I got this plant it was tagged Dendrobium kingianum, I had no idea it could be a hybrid with fleckeri. You say that there are tons of characteristics of felckeri all over this plant. Would you be so kind to let me know which ones? Unfortunately nurseries may not be as realiable as they should be when it comes to tag orchids correctly and so it would be nice to know what makes this plant different from the species. My little seedling is growing its 3rd growth and hopefully will start a 4th one this spring. I also was given 2 handfuls of keikis from am orchid open house I attended last summer. They are all growing well. I’m surprised how tough they are. No blooms yet but just lovely.

Hi, DD 🙋‍♀️ So glad to hear your Kingianum is growing in size and number of canes. The more you have the better and you will end up with a beautiful pot. They will bloom at an early age. We brought our kingianum inside from their cold winter rest a couple of weeks ago, and it's only now starting to spike. Funny how ours are on different schedules!

Isn't it amazing? The microclimates, right? They make all the differance. I am not expecting great bloomings on some of my winter resters this year because it was too warm for them while it should have been cold and so I had to keep on watering. And they had no increase in light because it was too cloudy and rainy which they hated. And so did I 🤣🤣

Always enjoy seeing your garden and non orchid plants ❤ My kingianum has lost almost all its leaves (luckily from old growth) but fortunately has begun 3 new canes. I have had spikes but so far no blooms. Going to try your method of keeping it a bit more damp during this growing season and cross my fingers for blooms next year ❤🌸
