Same sex marriage doesn't hurt anyone. It may also increase the adoption rate of orphans, so I am pro same sex marriage.

That’s crazy. I thought that Japan was okay with LGBTQ+ since for a while there has been a lot the fictional stories that has them in it.

Yeaa... there is a lot of homophobia in Japan. They seem fine with it if you keep it a secret. But marriage isn't secret.

The majority of the population supports same sex marriage and so does the constitution, apparently

Many of those lgbtq+ yaoi and yuri stories are just for fetishes

Japan is not an anime or manga.
@chalexen2862Сағат бұрын
@ I know and yet they continue to allow these stories to be made. Like if they really hate gays that much then why is there an ad of “The Guy She was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy At All” being posted in train stations etc? It doesn’t make sense to me. Like if Japan wanted to they could’ve turn out to be more like Florida but chose not to.

Should they really be encouraging this right now? Their population is declining
@avatarguilleСағат бұрын
What has one thing to do with the other?. Also not allowing people to love and get merried with who they want has nothing to do with the birth or not birth of kids. If we have more marriages that mena smore posibilities of kids too, because those couples, if they want kids, they can adopt, and other also have kids themselves which will also improve and increse the population.
@danzingcat5949Күн бұрын
Is not a marriage is an union, the recognition of marriage will contribute to the population decline, just look at the west, when marriage lost it's value also did family and legacy which is one the strengths of Japanese society
@Leothemovie2722 сағат бұрын
So not letting them get married is somehow going to get them to have a baby with someone if the opposite sex? Also most countries in the West don't have a birth rate problem.
@danzingcat594919 сағат бұрын
@@Leothemovie27 do you know what cultural decline or a slippery slope are? There is a reason why there are borders or limits, jumping over someones fence is not itself a crime but what you are willing to do later is. Marriage is also a limit if you jump over it you are willing to even worst things.
