Finally coming back with a video...a very long video. But this was originally 45 minutes so I've cut it down significantly. I'm reviewing and comparing some of my favorite skinny jeans for you all.
Topshop has some amazing jeans for pretty decent pricing. Among their skinny jeans are the famous Jamie, the super soft and comfy Leigh, and the extreme high waist Joni. If you've ever thought about trying some of their skinny jeans, this video should help you pick one (or more) that suits your style and preferences.

I’m 5’0 and I didn’t go for a petite the Jamie jeans as a size W25L30 fit me perfectly (I have ridiculously long legs).I couldn’t recommend them highly enough !!!!

I'm 5'4, 105Ibs. My waist is a 26, but my hips are a 32. Despite my waist being a 26, I can't fit into jeans that have a 26 waist, because they're almost ALWAYS big on me. I usually fit into 00's, which usually correlates to a 24 waist size. I'm scared to purchase jeans from TopShop because I'm afraid they wont fit, and I don't want to go through the hassle of returning them. Do you have any advice as to what size I should purchase?

Heather Hussler I will try my best to help! My waist measures about 26-27 inches but I wear a 25 in most jeans, including the Jamie jeans from topshop. I think you could go with either the 24 or 25; I’d recommend the 25 for a more comfortable fit and also because they seem to be running smaller these days. It is also important to note that jeans vary in their stretch which also determines whether I would intentionally choose to size up for a better fit (for example the mom jeans at topshop fit better in a 26). Hi! I have some Leigh jeans, and I feel like they stretch out and sag after a couple of wears. Do you notice that with the Joni jeans at all, especially since you go up in those from your Leigh sizes? Also, how do you wash and dry all your topshop jeans?

Hey! I haven't noticed sagging with my Leigh jeans but then again, I don't wear them very much. I think the Joni jeans are more form fitting so they may work for you in not stretching out. Just make sure you get the size that works for you. But I definitely recommend you try the Jamie jeans if you haven't already as they are similar in style to the Leigh jeans but have a thicker denim and are less likely to sag. Hope that helps! Laura Nguyen I also just realized I didn't answer part of your question. I wash all my jeans in cool water and low or no heat for drying. Also, wash them inside out. But I do try to not wash the jeans very often unless I wore them somewhere stinky or I got a stain on it. Hope that helps. Sorry for the late response.

I bought a petite jamie bcs I’m only 5ft tall but they were super short!! Then I bought the regular length and they were perfect. I might have long legs though.

Big question : If I want to be tight in my Jamie jean knowing I fit a 30 size (40 EU), can I plane to buy a size 28 or will it be way too small ? I heard and read this sort of jean are stretchy, but are they enough stretchy ? Thx

Alexia Combacal hi! I think you should buy your regular size because the Jamie jeans are cut to be very skinny. Some material have more stretch than others but I have never purchased a pair of Jamie jeans in my regular size and lived to regret it. Sometime so even think about purchasing one size up. And with the newer Jamie’s, it is worth ordering one size up to make sure that the jeans don’t actually run small. I hope this makes sense and that it helps you! Thank you for stopping by!

artpop hey, I'm only 5'2" so pretty petite. If you get the 30, they definitely will be a more cropped look. You may want to consider getting the 32 as well, depending on how you want the jeans to look.

Hey girl this video was good!, but I have a question I’m confuse with the 30,32,34 what exactly do those number represent after your actual size because you know how their jeans runs in W2832 what is the 32 for? Or anyone know? Thank you!

Kelly Morales hey girl! Thanks for stopping by! So the second number represents the length of the jeans. Some brands use the “inseam” (the length of the jeans measured from the crotch to the hem) measurement or the “outseam” (the length of the jeans measured from the waist to the hem). I’m not exactly sure what topshop uses (I think it’s the inseam). However, as I stated in the video, the numbers do not exactly coordinate with the actual length measurement of the jeans. Rather, they are more of an indicator as to whether the jeans with be short (28 or 30), regular (30 or 32), or long (34 or 36). The length 28 falls under the petite range at topshop and the length 36 is in the tall range. So for me, if I want a full length jean, I would go for a 32 length. However, if I wanted an ankle length jean, I usually go for the 30, or sometimes 28 depending on the particular cut or style of Jean. I hope this helped and wasn’t confusing. I still don’t quiet understand how the sizing works. I have big hips but a slim waist so it ist extremely hard for me to find jeans that actually fit me in my waist. So my question is: should I order the jeans in the correct waist size or should I go bigger so they will fit me around my butt...?

Ahh I see your dilemma. Unfortunately I have minimal curves so I’m not going to be able to give the best advice on this. Most of the topshop skinny jeans are stretchy so they do give; how much they give would depend on the particular style and the amount of stretch. My recommendation is to size up or go for the bigger size in your typical range. I feel that, generally, even when I size up, the waist isn’t noticeably loose in appearance. The big difference is that there is usually more material in the crotch and butt area. This design should be able to accommodate your curves. I hope this answered your question. If not, feel free to lemme know and I’ll try my best to clarify. I should also note that I do have a lot of friends who are curvier than I am and still wear the topshop jeans as well. One my friends has a very curvy butt and small waist and takes either a 26/28 in the Jamie’s. Hope that helps!

Love this video! I ordered a few pairs but theyre so tight on me! So Im planning on returning and repurchasing. Do you know if the 2weeks return policy in US means I have to mail them out within 2weeks or they have to receive them within 2weeks? Thank you!

waimanalo 18 thanks for watching and sorry the sizing was too small! I do think they’re sizing is changing to fit smaller. I didn’t realize they had changed their return policy for online returns. I think it means you need to request a return label within 2 weeks. But I could be wrong because I didn’t know they had decreased the time frame for online returns to such a short time. Hope you find the jeans that work for you!!

I ordered a pair of Joni size 24 😬 that was a mistake haha they were tight tho I was able to zip them completely they arent comfortable and the love handles 😸 So Im thinking of getting a size 26 at this time, since they dont have much sizing difference really, what do you think? waimanalo 18 what is your waist size or what size do you normally wear in jeans? I definitely went up 2 sizes for a more comfy fit around the waist. The Joni jeans have a ton of stretch so going up in size should still fit! Fingers crossed for you!

do you feel like the actual waist-to-pocket location varies on L28 and L30? i always got petite sizes cause i thought the way the pockets would sit on my body made more sense, as a petite person!! i hope u understand what i mean haha.

SB I totally understand what you mean and I’ve never actually thought about that but it makes perfect sense!! Like if a dress had a waist seam, a regular size doesn’t fall on a petite person’s waist...but a petite dress would be proportional. I also think that tall jeans have the waist part higher or longer, so it would make sense that the petite jeans would have better pocket placement for petites. Genius!!! 😂

Shreya Sarojkar hi! Thanks for stopping by. It honestly depends on how you want items to fit. I think, ideally, the actual measurement of your inseam would be about 28 inches. However, if you're thinking about topshop jeans, you'd want either the 30 or 28 inch leg length for an ankle fit, and a 32 inch for a full leg length. Hope that helps!

Sara X no, girl!!! I believe that the material hugs and holds the body so they give a more slimming effect! Start with a black or dark wash, and wear with a top tucked in and some sock books...it will definitely give a slimmer look! It’s also all about feeling good in your outfit and I’m sure you can definitely pull it off!!

Sara X I’m glad you’re working on a healthier lifestyle. It’s not always about size; focus on health and your body will reward you! I still think that women of most sizes can wear skinny and high waist jeans if they find them comfortable and stylish. I would recommend trying the Jamie or the Joni jeans because they have a higher waist. Or mom jeans even, since they also have a high waist but have a less skinny fit in the leg. Sock boots are ankle boots with a slightly higher shaft that hugs your ankle so it slims your leg and elongates you as well. I have a video on my sock boot collection if you want some ideas!! Hi!! Thanks for watching! Most of my Jamie jeans are the regular length, which is 30 inch inseam. The petite length is usually marked as 28 inch inseam. However, as most of the Jamie jeans are now cut as ankle length, the actual inseams are much shorter than marked, which is why I am able to wear the 30 inch inseams and they still fall above or right at my ankles. I am 5’2” and would usually take petite clothing, if available, to get the right length. Hope that clarifies the sizing for Topshop and helps you!! 😌
