I worked a nepotism car sales job at my pops dealership and everyone hated my guts there. Which was hilarious because they also had to kiss my ass so it was a fun dynamic. At the same time I would never claim that was hard work. In fact I was addicted to pain killers then and still got paid as much as the other salesmen even though I worked on “commission” and sold half as much. Crazy as it was that dealership went under after a tornado flattened it to the ground and it all went to crap during insurance memes. I can’t even begging to imagine how easy Hassguy had it but I once drove 5 hours home to buy an illicit drug and the the manager was too afraid to bring it up so yea not hard at all Also, I’m over 30 and this was a college job a life ago so be gentle.
@117Ender8 ай бұрын
well considering you kinda shared your soul, meaning you were an addict, you were the worst salesman at the shop. ill give some leeway. idk if you were self aware, and didnt act poorly, just were struggling with issues and thus it bleed over. nepo's are a thing cause any family that has built a career, or shop, wants to use their connections to help their kids. the issue with nepos, is if they arent self aware, or abuse their position, its one thing to have pops hook you up with a job, and give you training or be more patient but your working, you might lack skills, you might not have talent in their field, but your working and trying, then your seen as a drain but atleast, your not making life harder on employees. its like a family member has a business, and hires a family member who has downs, everyone knows this person isnt skilled, but knows, having a job, having purpose, printing papers, or etc, is better than having idle hands. if you didnt make employess life's hell, on purpose to show your got special privilege's, but were the common addict, fine, ppl have issues, your coworkers kinda hated you, but its cause you were able to get away with things they couldnt. if you made work harder, cause of ego, well now thats inexcusable.
@protoman12148 ай бұрын
I appreciate the honesty . It’s laughable he thinks he ever had a “real job”. I knew nepo hires at other jobs I had. Smoking weed in the cooler, showing up whenever they wanted, sexually harassing other co workers and never getting in trouble. At my company sales reps are expected to make 80 calls, send out 20 emails, and create 5 new active leads a day, at an absolute minimum. Plus they must meet with at least one center of influence in the local area a week and after all that if they still don't close a certain number of those leads a month they will be fired. At my previous job we literally had a time on our screen that would start counting the moment a lead hung up the phone and if you weren't making another call within 60 seconds a manager would have to walk over and find out what you are doing. If we were a minute late to work, late from lunch or even late from break you would get a verbal warning and after 10 in one year you would het let go.

I said this in the last video. I dont like Hasan, I think him lesving Twitch is beneficial to society. He was also correct in his take. Different jobs have different stresses. Emotional, mental and physical. He didnt say streaming was the most emotionally draining he said it was similar to retail. He then compared it to "normal jobs" and thats where ppl freaked out. The issue is he said "normal jobs like accounting". This is implying nost office jobs. In that context he is correct. Office jobs tend to me more mentally draining, labor jobs tend to me more physically and customer service emotionally draining. Its pretty basic. I get you can judge him for bitching about his millionaire job and I agree but it factually is more emotionally draining than most jobs.

@@Forestcat909 Wow. Braindead take. So if 2 things are similar in 1 area are they similar in all areas? There are tons of careers that have a single similar characteristic but we wouldnt be stupid enough when someone compares a single aspect of it to the whole. Look past the douchebaggery Hasan is and see through the trees. You can compare things without saying they are the same in all areas, this is literally what a comparison is. A hotel lobby worker and a hostess probably have similar levels of emotional stress dealing with stupid people all day but one pays more so they probably have additional duties on top of it.
@camharkness8 ай бұрын
Not really, even "physical jobs" can be mentally and emotionally draining. I have autism, I work in a Sam's club, being the only person on maintenance, I've had to clean actual crap off the walls and floors. And end up more mentally drained than anything (while being in autistic burnout from having people get mad at me because I don't know where a random thing is, or not able to be in 3 spaces at once, and having to use all my energy at once to hold my emotions back and appear "normal", while Hasan has legit cussed out and wished a trans persons life gets worse because they dared to disagree with him. If I so much as call a costumer stupid for yelling at me over rice, I will lose my job) But even then, he is rich enough, and privileged enough, that if it's hurting him, he can leave. He can go "I don't wanna work today" and have no negative repercussions. The rest of us can't. If we call out, we don't get money for one, but we can also be fired. The rest of us can't leave the job we are in because it's too much. If it really, really, REALLY is that bad for him, he can get a new job. He is rich enough to do that. (Even though he legit has started videos and left the room for majority of the video. If I disappeared for a chunk of my shift, I could get in trouble)
@zaatas8 ай бұрын
There are so many jobs that are more stressful and harder on your mental and emotional state. Teachers, police officers, ER/hospice doctors and nurses, bus drivers, taxi drivers, bartenders, security guards, bouncers, prostitutes, coaches, childcare workers, people that work at the DMV, etc etc etc. You know what all those people have to do? Listen to their boss, be respectful to others, travel to work and show up on time, have high stress encounters or dangerous ones. You know what they can't do if they are being emotionally taxed? Tell their boss to shove it and ban them from talking. Curse and yell at a customer because they said you weren't knowledgeable about a topic you were talking about. Show up to work whenever they want and work for however long they feel like that day. Eat whenever they want on the job or take breaks whenever they want. And they take all that baggage, and get paid peanuts compared to him, a person who could choose to work 1/10 the hours and still make more than any of them (cept coachs they be making crazy money on the high end).
