At this point of his career, John can't be considered to his full potential, simply because he's almost sixty. However, the fact he's here to compete despite his disadvantage due to age, strength and weight, just perfectly explain why he is legitimately considered the greatest of all times. He should have beat him 3-0. The first round they both lifted their elbow for a split second, that went uncalled. But Irakli went on to throw his arm off the pad when in a losing position against John. Round should have went to John, but it got restarted instead.

My key takeaways from this is 1. John is in full happy retirement mode (as he should be, look at his age) where he is just happy to be there and enjoying himself, whereas Denis has a very serious look in his eyes and especially when his interpreter mentioned Devon. 2. Denis' body language started to show sings of life when asked how far off from his peak he was. It's something that gets him excited and will go for one last run. Both legends. Look forward to it.

Just a tip when it comes to translating live: It's easier for translators, and more engaging for the audience to portion out the answers and translate bit by bit. Maybe a few sentences at a time. That way we get to follow the train of thought, instead of just a long blob of speech translated into three short sentences😁👍 Coming from the perspective of someone who's translated, and listened to a lot of live-translated events.

Man I love BOTH these Legends and wish them a healthy battle. Two of the Titans of the sport .... clearly on the tail end of their Amazing careers, at least this is the case for John, yet they're able and ready to strap up one more time for the Love of the sport.👍👍 Even tho John is the undisputed GOAT of arm wrestling, I gotta believe at nearly 60 yrs old he's the underdog here. Although when seeing what he can still do against guys like Irakli or the dude before him.... ya never know? Especially learning he had Covid and still appeared to be the stronger man. It's gonna be Epic regardless. As for Denis.... we don't have any idea except for training clips?? This match will give us an idea of where exactly he's at in his comeback. The interpreter skips something important - Denis sais that he worries about John as an opponent and he is sure that John will manage to him hard times. It's important, because Denis tried to show his respect and that he is not self-confident. And then both Matt and John understood from this incomplete interpretation of Denis' words that he is overconfident and doesn't think that John is a good match for him now.
