I love this I have been a fan of Brian since the very beginning of his career I was an active member of a popular strength forum over the years and Shaw was always the horse I backed and I said from day 1, this guy has the mentality to be the very best and he proved me right I have also watched devons career closely and remember the sport when he was raw, but not quite at the top. Then from 07-08 he just stepped it up You need to believe you can achieve greatness and that's what all these champions have in common. Plenty have great genetics, but not everyone will be a champion. It's a different mindset Awesome podcast

1:06:20: That building a base to build a peak is a really good concept to have! I've just AW'd for 2 years and it feels like I'm all over with my strength level still, but as long as you just focus on the basics you will improve, even though there will be valleys between the peaks. And polishing your strengths is something that's really helped me, as even though I began with strong hands, even more solid hands doesn't hurt -- more strength is definitely never a weakness, even though it may not directly translate, and your weaknesses gets attacked even though you have great strengths in some areas. Oh and thank you for this feast of a podcast!

This was just amazing to watch and to see the heart of Devon Larratt and Passion he has for arm wrestling, and just to understand the struggles and sacrifice he had to make to get to where his is make you understand why he goes full out and to understand to do something for the love of it and not the money makes a big difference 💪🏽🙏🏼

Man right away yall talking about strength at a young age hit because it reminded me of when I found out about my power and beat most people who versed me within my age group. Anything like those games like Mercy, Bloody knuckles, or even armwrestling I would about always win. When you have that feeling its like nothing else. You can't go back.

He is a pioneer of sorts tho. Larratt is absolutely the pioneer of its growth era / becoming popularized.
