@@zakofrx I don't know of JJJ (being a US native), but given people say that about a lot of things that have openly shown left-leaning roots they always had (and oddly so, assuming anyone even cares), Denis Leary very clearly made this back then to parody and make fun of middle class right-leaning and adjacent folk. So if anything, they'd congratulate him even more nowadays

@@MasterOfKnowledge. Leary is from Massachusetts. This song is basically every middle/working class Blue Dog Democrat in New England I grew up with. I don’t know his intentions, but being of his ilk I definitely don’t see this as specifically satirizing conservatism. It’s about class to me.

@@marcgutierrez2436 I do to a point: I was in a similar situation (my job got automated, had issues in my relationship but never broke up). I think in the early 90's it was different because the economics were artificially skewed towards defense spending for 30 years previous and the bill came due when Russia collapsed.

I disagree ...I feel like this specifically tries to paint people who are patriotic as assholes. I would have been there right with you longer ago as was the narrative for so long. After the 2 years we have been through and all that has been revealed one would have to be blind and in denial to not see the bait and switch that has taken place. You were entrained for how long to think patiotism and freedom was a villainous asshole thing to do. Well thank God for them now ... That is if you have not completely villinized the idea of God ... As well. And I'm not talking about man in the sky kind of god here .... That is also part of the rhetoric... I could go on ... No this message only serves as a piece of the evidence that this attempt to separate people into boxed oppositions has been in play a very long time ... And your comment ... Is evidence that in some people it has been fully integrated.... It blows me away that I can see how I fell into it as well ... All the lies The very people whom claimed to be opposed to the establishment are now bowing to it ... Ask your self ... How the hell did that happen ?
