Denise has my 100% devotion! She always dazzles. Never boring. Takes risks with music, costumes and non-stop skating thrills. We all know Gold Olympic medals would easily have been hers if she competed after 1991. Compulsory figures? bah!

She simply became the most accomplished female figure skater of all-time. She won more world class events (23) than any other woman ever has (19 more 2nds). She was the best at spins & one of the best at jumps while being unmatched in the combination of athleticism & eye appeal all the way into her 40s.

Tamara Moskvina is actually credited with performing the first Biellman spin in combination...Denise Biellman popularized it/perfected it, and thus it was named after her. I'd also like to contend that Nathalie Krieg and even Caroline Zhang equal/surpass Denise's Biellman. Not to say that I don't LOVE Denise Biellman, who did so much for the sport of figure skating, and was years ahead of her time.

Yes, but you also need a skater like Denise to deliver this program! I love both Robin Cousins (Olympic Champion 1980) and Denise Biellmann (World Champion 1981)! :D

Such a versatile artistic skater. If she had went on to 1984 + even threw 1992-94 and 98. She may be the Queen of all Queens. Her figures would have improved, as her edges and exactness in technical. And Ito Midori in 3A 1989 would have pushed her into 3A. Maybe before Tonya Harding. Denise is a fire competitor with the fire to keep it pristinely fit.
